Perhaps it is surprising that Harrington was put on waivers before Türkoğlu.

Hello, fellow fan of the magic since y'all traded for nikola Vucevic, and I been impressed by this team turnaround after Dwight left. Now my question is, how the hell did Rob Hennigan convince the bucks to trade a gem, diamond in the rough, prospect, soon to be a top ten player in Tobias Harris for jj redick?

The Bucks were making a playoff push and felt a SG would get them there. Harris was buried deep on the bench and was not see as a fit to the team (or even a serviceable talent). GM Hennigan was pined for trading Redick as many felt he would resign. But the GM did not want the risk and decided a look at Harris was worth more than a chance at Redick.
