aldrich probably was a miss but they needed a Center and the only center who looks worth something at this time would be Seraphin but everything can look better or worse in hindsight.

Digging into a Lil Further, Oklahoma City acquired Morris Peterson and the draft rights to 11th pick Cole Aldrich from New Orleans in exchange for the draft rights to 21st pick Craig Brackins and 26th pick Quincy Pondexter.
so its hard to say that they really missed on talent when he was supposed to be a player very similiar to Chris Kaman. he lacks athletic abilities but they also dont play him much possibley cuz of having Collison.
Aldrich played 4 games in which he got 14.5 minutes or more but never got more than 21.3 minutes last year. he played 6 games with more than 10 mins of playing time.
Aldrich had 2 games in that range but played 7 games total over 10 mins.
seems to me he is improving a bit as his per increased alot between the 2 years so maybe he gets more playing time. teams always reach for centers on draft day because they are such a rare commidity to get a good one in fa. to say hes a bust isnt exactly fair to him when he doesnt get much Playing time cuz his team likes to play smaller than with the limited athleticism of aldrich.
