JJ Redick tribute video
Does anyone know if its been posted anywhere? I was at the game last night but arrived a couple minutes late and missed the tribute.
How did you all take to the video?

People like to say "Hey, you don't want to swim with sharks"
But I'm faster than sharks, so it's okay.

Re: JJ Redick tribute video
I was a great thing by the Magic to give JJ a video tribute. The guy is truly one of the classiest guys that have ever been part of the Magic and deserved the standing ovation. His former teammates had nothing but great things to say about him. They showed a shot of JJ giving RDV a hug and likewise. It was obvious that there is a lot of admiration from ownership and that JJ truly loves the fans and the city. From here on out, every time that JJ comes back he will always be cheered and celebrated and if he wants to come back he will be with open arms.
Dwight could have had the same had he not been an a****** and not burned bridges and acted like the immature little girl that he is. Dwight showed his true character during the "Dwightmare" and it was disgusting. Dwight will be not celebrated and he will not be welcomed back. As JJ showed, its not that he left, its how he left. Too bad that Dwight did not learn from JJ, he could of had the same.

Dwight couldn't even be classy to little kids who paid to see him. Dwight = Classless
Anyways, I was happy to see JJ talking to Devos after the game. Devos had this big smile like he used to do when he looked up at Howard. That owner just worships his players and treats them so well. You can see the players just respect him.

I was at the game last night, and the tribute was awesome. Great standing 'O' from the crowd, and you could tell JJ was pretty choked up about it. Chelsea was wiping away tears as well.
It was also great to see before the game that JJ visited everyone during warmups - even the trainers. Easy to see how much they think of him.
And before the game, he was out for shootaround and stayed afterwards to talk with fans and sign autographs. Class act and obvious that the organization and the fans miss him.

Re: JJ Redick tribute video
I am so happy to see that the Magic organization took the steps to make this happen. JJ was big in the community and a fan favorite. He is by no means a star but that is why I am happy to see the Magic go through with this. If we hadn't done it, no one would have thought twice. The fact that we did makes the organization look like it really cares about all of its players....not just the stars.
Next step...retire Nick Anderson's damn jersey already.

I think it's what sets us apart. The DeVos family are recognized for thier respect and appreciation for thier team in the NBA community. An owner who cares plus is willing to spend money AND tank in order to get to our goal? The hires he makes and his demeanor are so classy. It is hard not to love RDV.

JJ will go down in Orlando history as being one of the most loved right there with Bo Outlaw and Darrell Armstrong.

At least we showed the world we have it in us to treat our departed players with respect and gratitude. JJ went out at the right time in the right way.

Just a shame Devos owns one of the slyest MLM companies in the world... I swear everytime i see the word Amway linked with the Magic i feel angry for just a little second... Im beside myself with how much respect this guy receives despite his business ventures.

Well they would exist, but they would have been moved to Kansas City or Oklahoma.

Agreed. I also caught Pat Williams clapping it up for JJ also. Very class act, wish him nothing but the best.
