Magic officials already have scouted the likes of Kentucky Wildcats center Nerlens Noel, Kansas Jayhawks shooting guard Ben McLemore and Michigan Wolverines point guard Trey Burke for months and months.

Hennigan would not comment about his team's goals for the combine

As the team with the best chance to pick first, the Magic will want to sit down with Noel, McLemore and Burke, making the next few days critical for the players and the team.

I find it curious to see Bennett so high. It's shocking to think he would be selected before Porter. Also, I cannot see Carter-Williams being drafted in the top-10.

C.J. McCollum, a 6-foot-3 point guard from Lehigh, and Myck Kabongo, a 6-foot-2 point guard from the University of Texas, said they met individually with Magic officials Wednesday night.

Agreed. I dont like MCW picked 7th. BMac TB3 and Noel as expected are being looked at.

Never really thought about it this way but we have a higher chance of getting the 4th pick than the 1st pick. Probably should start preparing for that, lol.

It's just starting to dawn on me how bad this draft really is.

I'm sure there are a gem or two. But talent men will have to dig deep to find them. Seeing as we are picking from the top, it could be really easy to mess this draft up.

It's like adding insult to injury. We lose Dwight (albeit we got good young talent) and get the best chances in a terrible draft. This draft almost reminds of an expansion draft.

To be positive, it is almost 50/50 that Orlando gets one of the top 2 picks.

I agree and the last expansion draft had a lot of really good journey men; and one future all star (Gerald Wallace).

Some names: Primož Brezec, Predrag Drobnjak, Marcus Fizer, Jason Kapono, Zaza Pachulia, Sasha Pavlović, Loren Woods. That's 8 players out of 19 in that draft. Maybe that's what the 2013 draft will turn out to be; it is what the 2000 drat was (the Hedo draft).

What is good about this draft is that there are loads of journey men PGs in it. Orlando needs a PG, after all.

From the O-Sen:

The Magic are guaranteed to leave Tuesday's lottery with a top-four pick.

It's possible that they will trade that pick and move down in the draft.

Basically, there is only one way we can be #1, even though it has the highest probability. But there are 1,716 ways for us to land at #4 even though they are all small probabilities. Basically it is us getting picked at #1 vs us not getting picked at 1, not getting picked at 2, and not getting picked at 3.

Best Case (#1) = .250
Worst Case (#4) = Not (#1, #2, or #3) = 1 - (.250 + .215 + .178) = .357

Overall odds: 1st = .250, 2nd =.215, 3rd = .178, 4th = .357

The Magic are going to get the best player available.

It's possible they will trade down and get other assets to do that.

It all comes down to BPA at wherever they pick.

No. You forgot odds of 1+2+3+4 has to equal 1. You can't do 1-(2+3)

The last time I heard someone say that as a rookie, was from an 18-year old kid drafted 1st overall by the Cavaliers in 2003.
