Doc Rivers was a big fan of Willie Green and thought that by waiving Green, he could free up space to make a run at Melo or Lebron then resign Willie. So, the agreement was made to cut Green, but then Henny, amongst other GM's, noticed the roster move with a keen eye on Willie Green as a player that could benefit the young Magic roster. Henny, after consulting with his staff, decided that the Magic could claim Willie off waivers after cutting Jameer Nelson with that saved extra loot. The plan worked out slick as banana pudding. Doc River was reportedly fuming in disgust over the slick move. Henny being the eagle eyed exec who is always monitoring league activities obtained a player coveted by other GM's with his wiley ways. One has to give credit where credit is due to make such a wise move. Now, the Magic have the depth needed after losing Moore and Meer to create a lethal backcourt ready to contend nightly over the duration of the grueling 81 game schedule. Knock it back!
