and that folks is how you lose a ball game. lose a couple of key starters and then your players have penalty after penalty.

#2 Oregon, #3 Alabama and #4 Oklahoma all lose this week. I wonder if the so called experts are still going to say those 3 are the best teams in the country and not FSU? Suck on that haters!

okay, just a reality check. Not saying that FSU isnt a good team. But they beat a 2-3 Wake forest team. The combined losses of the 3 teams that beat Oregon, Bama and Oklahoma is zero.

I'm not gloating on beating Wake Forest, I'm gloating because we are still undefeated, and not getting respect this season. This season we aren't going to win every game by 40 +, there are some bumps in the road this season, whether from ranked opponents or not ranked.Point is we still find a way to win and we're still ranked #1.
If we beat Notre Dame in 2 weeks, who should be ranked in the top 5 next poll, I think we win out. I don't think Miami, Louisville or Florida will beat us.

Re: 2014 College Football Discussion
11 of the top 25 lost this week.
South Carolina gave one away, USC lost on a Hail Mary and letting ASU go the length of the field in about 30 seconds and no timeouts.
Utah beat ucla while giving the Bruins two attempts at a long FG for the win (first miss was offset by a running into the kicker penalty).
Alabama inexplicably lost, TAM forgot to bring a defense, but Miss St is playing great football.
Oklahoma did their annual thing by losing at TCU.
It's going to be an interesting year no doubt.

Upcoming rankings:
1) Florida State
2) Auburn
3) Baylor
4) Notre Dame
5) ??? Ole Miss?
... so, two week from now when #4 Notre Dame travels to Tally! Oh I can't wait!

Re: 2014 College Football Discussion
My previous post got me thinking. I think the top 4 are a lock for the week but who falls in at #5?
#2, #3, #4, #6, #8 and #10 all lost this week.
So #5 Auburn will slide up to #2 while #7 Baylor will slide up to #3 and #9 Notre Dame will take #4.
Now, will Oregon's fall stop at #5 or will Ole Miss move all te way up from #11 to #5?

Re: 2014 College Football Discussion
There is going to be a lot of congestion between slots 5-10 IMO.
I think Miss St and Mississippi will be 5/6, or at worst 6/7.
Alabama, Oregon, Oklahoma will all probably hang around the backside of the top ten, and TAM should drop to 12-15 area.

Re: 2014 College Football Discussion
Ole Miss and Miss St. leap frogging Baylor is redicuous.
Unlike years past, Baylor has a top 20 defense to go along with a #1 offense. Texas forced Baylor into a first half defensive struggle yesterday and Baylor slowly racked up points while pitching a shut out late. Texas isn't Texas these days but they are still loaded with top 5 recruiting class talent.
Ole Miss and Miss St. should have moved up a lot, buy no way they leap frog Baylor. At least the coaches put Baylor at #3 with one even offer them a #1 vote.

Re: 2014 College Football Discussion
Miss St led 21-0 in the first against Auburn, inexplicably got too greedy and went for a fake punt in their own end.
