Why do that trade. That one would be bad trade for us. We have Payton so why do we need Smart? Doesn't make sense.

yeah I think it is going to take a lot more than that to get Cousins and I doubt we even have what it would take to get him. He is signed for a while and I don't think their relatioship is that toxic anymore so I don't think they are even considering moving him.

We need a backup PG and I think a backcourt rotation of Payton, Dipo, Smart, & Fournier is pretty good. My only hang up would be Smarts on court BS that we saw first hand last year.

Just my novice two cents.

You don't trade the #5 pick for a backup PG. And we don't need a prospect of that caliber as a backup. We can find a much cheaper backup in free agency and be fine going forward. That is overkill and a waste of a good pick at 5.

There is a zero chance Kings trade Cousins to the Magic.

This is based off if the top 4 went like this,

1 )Timberwolves - KAT
2) Lakers - Okafor
3) Philly - KP
4) NYK - Russell

Trade #5, Channing Frye, Maurice Harkless and #51 for #9, Cody Zeller, MKG and #39.

Charlotte just traded Lance Stephenson to the Clippers for Matt Barnes and Spence Hawes. At #5 they can take Mudiay, their starting lineup,

Kemba/Mo Williams
Mudiay/G Henderson
Barnes/Harkless
Frye/Vonleh
Biyombo/Hawes (Al Jefferson is a FA)

Then draft goes,

5) Charlotte - Mudiay
6) Kings -WCS
7) Denver - Henzonja
8) Detroit - Winslow
9) Magic - Turner (Magic have their pick of Lyles, S Johnson, Turner, Portis, Decker, I'm going with Turner)

Draft Olivier Hanlan at #39

Re-sign Harris, sign Ed Davis and Cory Joseph.

Payton/Joseph/Hanlan
Oladipo/Fournier/Marble
Harris/AG/MKG
Davis/Zeller/Nicholson
Vooch/Dedmon/Turner

THis is a reasonable outcome to the off-season. I do not agree with the depth chart though. Gordon should compete for starter minutes at PF. And will Turner get any 2015/16 minutes at all on this roster? Probably not.

AG needs continue to develop and bulk up a little more first. Ed Davis gives us the rim protector next to Vooch and I think Turner is a good prospect but needs a season or two to develop more and bulk up. Also we'd be taking Turner at #9 not #5, we won't need to make and immediate impact. With the depth at PF and C, it gives him time to.

Sign me up! I don't think the Hornets do that trade with MKG in there though. Nor do we really need him. You even have him 3rd in SF depth. I'd ask for someone else or just do it with the 2 picks and Zeller.

I'd rather not resign Harris and instead try to get Khris Middleton.

Middleton would be nice. Isn't he restricted though? I'm sure the Bucks match any price.

yeah they very well might. But I have seen several reports that they are going after some big name big men and also are not willing to pass up any opportunity to get better. they have cap space and could very well be going after some big name free agents. A situation like the one that happened with Houston last year, where they were trying to get Bosh when Dallas stepped in and maybe even partly to sabotage them getting Bosh signed Parsons to a big offer sheet and forced Houston to choose between matching the Mavs offer and thus having to abandon any hope of signing Bosh or keep on pursuing Bosh. So something like that could develop and allow someone to swoop in and sign Middleton away. It is contingent on something like that happening so who knows but of all the bigger restricted guys I think Middleton has the best chance of getting away. Not saying it will happen but I would say there is a chance as opposed to very little to none with getting Leonard, Butler, or Draymond Green.

They are not high on MKG anymore, so I figured a swap of MKG and Harkless, a fresh start and new environment for both players would be good. Yeah I have him 3rd in SF rotation, but both Harris and AG have missed time due to injury, so he would be nice to have as insurance.
