Weirdest thing about that play is Shabazz Muhammad closing his eyes most of the way up.

I just finished watching the game. Wow. I have been upset with a few of our big name guys over their lack of toughness at the basket going back to last season. Well it looks like someone talked to Elf. He was fantastic in this area tonight!

He knows Smith is about to either block him or borderline flagrant foul him.

Do whatever we can to lock up Fournier. Wow. Heart of a freaking lion in that guy.

A good win by the Magic. Fournier been on a tear for a minute plus dropping that 3ball for the win helps put the Magic at the .500 mark. Elf also did his thing tonight on both ends of the floor tonight and making his presence felt for the team.

wtf?! you must be watching a different game...Skiles drew up some great plays - and his bold move to play bench changed the whole demeanor of the game

Its ok only cause its W? Or?
At this moment magic is 26th in ORtg in league, I guess thats not a good offense

Eh, the more important stat is the 6-6 record...and that the Magic are 12th in DRtg...the ORtg will climb as the young players gets used to their new roles and acclimate to a brand new system.

Skiles has from day 1 focused on turning the identity and strength of this team into a tough defensive squad that feeds off of defensive energy; not the other way around.

Smith deserves recognition for a mini-vest. Vučević undoubtably played awful in the first half. In the minutes Smith was on the floor, his presence coincided with a 15-0 run that brought the team back in to the game, and then in the 4th, a 13-1 run that led to the victory. Smith stepped up and did what needed to be done. GM Hennigan continues to look like a genius every time I see Smith contribute.

Meanwhile KOQ just lost his spot in the Knicks' rotation... Took him three weeks.

In his defense... his coach is Derek Fisher.

Finished watching the game now.
Damn you Skiles, I thought (and bet on it) I was going to hate you. Why are you proving me so wrong? :)

Fournier is looking like an all-star because he can shoot, finish at the rim, and doesn't just bulldoze the lane with his head down. Oladipo has none of these attributes right now, or if you want to make the argument that he does, his skills in these areas are well below where they should be for a guy that is supposedly our best/second best player.

Actually Fournier does that way more than Dipo. Dipo is much better at drive and kick. Fournier is just a better finisher.

and Dipo has been our best defender, I just think shots need to be distributed more. I'd rather Tobias take 15 shots than Oladipo atm.

You know, you can't go from being bad to winning the championship.
Having a "mediocre" team while getting better is ok. When we've been mediocre for 3 years, then b*tch.

Whenever I've learned a new skill, i've been mediocre at it before I was good at it.

I would love more time for AG & Mario too.

But, Smith, AN, Evan, Elf and Harris deserved to finish that game. It all started on defense, Steal and finish by Payton, Steal and finish by Evan, HUGE block and then finish by Smith. That was a huge defensive rebounding job by Harris (Min PFs 1-10 3pts), Smith's job was to keep KAT or Deng off the glass and Tobias needed to grab the rebound.

They have 2 days off before their next game, I expect Vuc to go 20+pts & 15rebs Saturday.
