Didn't know Payton had that much to say.

While Rob didn't draft him, it must feel good to know that the one who traded for you is very happy for you to still be around. Even though I say this every year. I look forward to seeing this team next season. Here is hoping for a good year.

I know this may be reading too much into it, but Rob seems much more at ease since the hiring than he did all year with Skiles. Even on his media rounds on Friday, he was much more open and personable, a trait that he has been lacking recently. It could be the pressures wearing away, but he seems in much higher spirits; i believe that the partnership of Rob and Vogel will be really successful pursuing free agents.
