OT: Best burger FROM Orlando

Post#1 » by The_Watcher » Thu May 19, 2016 7:41 pm

While we wait for any more Vogel news, I just want to know.

This came up with a few buddies a little while back. I won't tell you my favorite until all the others have been said. Which is the best burger from a spot that came up here in Orlando, and why.

Not McDonalds, Five Guys, Burger Fi, etc.

Oblivion Taproom, specifically the Hog Wild. Has pulled pork, bacon, crispy onions, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and bbq sauce on a brioche bun (I get it without the caramelized onions, just because i'm not a fan). Not only that, but the fries and tots there are spectacular with different seasonings available, and their dry rub wings are top notch as well. Plus they've got a million different beers on tap and they keep a healthy rotation going. They do a lot of special nights.

For me, Bacon Blue Cheeseburger from Johnny's Fillin Station / Johnnyville does it for me.

I was excited when they were opening here but i haven't heard a single person tell me it's good, lol. They've all said it's a weaker BurgerFi or Shake Shack.

1. Teak neighborhood grill- by far the best burger in orlando
2. Oblivion taproom- haven't been since the new ownership but it was good before.
3. Rustek- solid burger

I've heard from others that it's basically "OK" but doesn't live up to the hype.

One of my favorites is tucked away off Orange Avenue - Spice Burger.

I'll echo Teak and Oblivion as the top spots. Nona Blue is also pretty good. For quick and cheap, Burger 21 is solid.

Teak Neighborhood Grill, Graffiti Junktion, That One Spot (it's a hole in the wall, but they've won awards). That would be my top 3.
