39 wins is my choice, but will happily take 44 wins.

tbh no,i mean problem is we do not know what the the goal is.

because, let's be honest, trading #6 and #11 at draft for a deluxe veteran would have been an insurance for at least getting play-in

they did not do that and also they always talk about growing, developing players, patience, ecc.

Do you consider the play-in to be the playoffs?

We have no backup C , and we especially don't have backup C capable of playing starter's min.

I think Goga is being underrated here. He’s capable of covering if WCJ goes down - but he kinda forces other changes to the SL for fit purposes.

Either that or they slide Paolo up to C and bring Isaac/Ingles in to bridge the gap.

I think if health reigns and everyone improves as we hope, this is a winning team. I’ll predict 43 wins, but they’re still a strong two guard away from being a 50 win squad.

100% in agreement here. Suggs or G-Harris with the Denver pick for a good SG, and Magic could be a contender THIS YEAR.

There has to be another thread. I remember saying something along the lines of 40 wins if not healthy and 48 if healthy, so guessed the middle at 44. We were pretty healthy this year, so ended up 1 shy of my guess.

I'll see if it's back there. This was the only one I remember posting in. They have a lot of talent. And my prediction of Jalen Suggs raising the Larry O'Brien trophy some day is looking really solid. Once he calms down and learns how to be a pro sky is the limit because he has all the physical tools. This year I realized his issue is his body moves quicker than his brain. He's got such quick reflexes and crazy quick lateral movement and good body control but it's all done a little too fast.

A drill I would have him do is I'd have him call out what he's doing on the court when he's doing it. For instance...

Suggs: I'm going to dribble it up the court down the right side.. Wendell sets the screen.. I'm going to go right.. when my man bites I'm going to stop and tear drop or dump it off to Wendell.

By doing this repeatedly and often he'll start to sink his brain and his body up. He just says out loud what he's doing in every situation.

He plays offense the way he plays defense which is balls to the walls. That doesn't work in the NBA.

Happy to be so wrong. Didn’t think we could overcome the dreadful shooting. We wont but still performed better than expected.

I like being projected for the play-in.

You went from this to predicting 50 wins ?????

:)

Interesting how important M-Wagner became for the season.

drsd wrote:I like 43-39.

Orlando will have some interesting wins and some disgusting losses. The reality is that this is still a TO prone, young team. And Ingles alone cannot shore up Orlando's most obvious deficit: distance shooting.

Wins will come on the defensive side of the ball.

And to think my 43 was hesitant. What do I know? But qualitatively, my words did ring true. Good defensive and only Inles can shoot.

jezzerinho wrote:As we're currently constructed, I think we can hold all but the very best offensive teams to manageable scores. I just have grave reservations about our ability to then outscore that number.

We'll be hardworking, competitive and team-first. But our ball movement, scoring volume and scoring efficiency is just not up there yet to make a big rankings jump.

38-40 wins, if Franz stays healthy throughout.

Wow, i thought I had been more bullish! Props to the optimists among us!!!
