Do you care if we win the division title?

I don't care about the division as an accomplishment. But winning it means finishing ahead of Miami and it also means the Magic would have one extra tiebreaker for seeding in the event of a 3-way tie with anyone not named Miami.

Normally Id say no.

However, I think it's good for this group of young players to accomplish something and set goals.

I don't expect them to win a playoff series right now, but that is the biggest goal for this group right now in the process. Getting a division title would let them know they are a legitimate team to be taken seriously.

Yeah its more about the climb up.

It's about a little bit of prestige. There were analysts this year thinking we wouldn't be close to the play ins yet here we are talking playoffs. Not clinched yet. But I feel the excitement in the air for sure.

As I said, a win against a division rival likely has more weight down the road then a western conference team game played at 11p on the second night of a back to back.

I care, to a certain extent - it's a nice accomplishment to have.

In 35 years of existence, we've only won 6 division titles. Two of those years, we went to the Finals.

Of course. First of many in a row. Like 4 minimum. The SE is now the division of the Orlando Magic. Conference Title is next.

I’m starting to change my mind on this. If we do do it with Miami in the division it’s an accomplishment for this young team. 3 games up on Miami now.

Well we’ve done it. We beat Miami for division title and nabbed the 5th seed. Your Southeast Division Champions your Orlando Magic!!!! First one since Dwight?

Magic won division title in 2019. Slim (Isaac) was on that team as well.
