He can score but he's one of the worst defensive players in the NBA.

How many bucket getters are good defenders, I would think not many

False hope for what? A single win in a playoff exit?

I thought we were playing for playoff glory where moral victories still count and we can figure out if we should grossly overpay for Suggs.

false hope that we still dont have significant roster issues. and it isnt the fans that wont recognize it, its the front office

Aw i'm sure they know. They just don't care to do anything about it.

I expect now that Mosely has been resigned that the front office has identified its core players and we should see that in the form of who and what we sign players too combined with what moves we make this offseason. I am having a hard time identifying who the forever keepers are beyond the obvious 3.

The young man gone old man in me regarding this franchise says more on this roster is here to stay then I would like and that the issue we have will be a feature not a bug.

Good win without playing particularly well. Good shooting makes up for a lot of deficiencies and it heped the the Nets couldn't hit an open 3 to save their lives for most of the night. The ball movement of the first quarter was quite nice, but we didn't keep it up. Harris and Paolo were really solid. Suggs continues to be crucial for our succerss. Isaac's shooting has become quite reliable lately, his 3s were huge in this game and kept our lead at big moments. It was nice to see Isaac and Paolo playing together for significant periods before the 4th quarter.

The Fultz-Cole lineups really shouldn't be used at all, they are almost always bad. Well, Fultz shouldn't be playing at all (this was one of his better games and he ended up with 10 points on poor efficiency and more turnovers than assists), but if you have to play him, he shouldn't ever be paired with Cole, they don't synergize at all on either end.

Eh... Young team... if they're not beating teamms that are better than them or as good next year or the year after that then we have a problem.

its been a very strange season for Franz. We're going to get blown out every game in the play offs if he plays like this.

I was thinking about worst case scenarios last night and came up with two. To be honest, as bad as getting swept in the first round would be, it would be somewhat expected for a young team so both of my worst-case scenarios are forward-facing:

1) Franz, Paolo or Suggs get hurt
2) Fultz plays well enough in the playoffs to make the Magic think he is worth resigning

As crazy as number 2 may sound, it is not out of the realm of possibility that our young players come out anxious/flat and Fultz winds up (almost by default) one of the lone bright spots. Pretty much anything besides these two scenarios I can live with as this has been such a fun, wonderful season to be a Magic fan.

The thing is, the Best Case Scenario must be an entry ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals.

In conclusion, let's go half full over half empty here. Example: we all expect Isaac's knee to explode everty game, but so far he has been a positive player. i.e. Glass half full!

6-14 a stinker??

Not sure I agree. Plus he played Bridges pretty tough, especially in the 1st half.

That's a .485 TS%, with the team overall shooting .645, and well below his own average.
