Anyway we can send an anon text saying not tk sigb an extension and we are willing to oay big bucks for him?

They can, of course, but offering him a 20M per year contract would cost them North of 70M per year (luxury tax).

Are they willing to do that?

This is the issue with having 3 Max players on your team, this is why I like weltman a lot, he is Good with getting bargain (Wcj type of contract)

Grayson is from Jacksonville, which is only a 90-minute drive away. His wife was also a professional soccer player here for a couple of years. So they are very familiar with Orlando.

Ultimately it all comes down to what Grayson wants, a big payday, ring chase or whatever.

That’s pretty suspect

Most open 3’s in the league in a contract year, getting close to 30.. Definite possibility of a team regretting a big contract for him. Let the Pistons or Spurs break the bank for Grayson and let’s sign Monk instead

We don’t need a pure shooter in the backcourt - we need a shooter with some shot creation/playmaking

LOL I hope so.

But realistically, PHO is much nearer to a ring than us.

I dunno how rich GA is but someone in the GB said his total NBA earnings was only less or equal to 20m so far.... if we do offer something like a 4/80m and he needs cash security, maybe it could sway him and let him ring chase after this contract.

Are they? Two aging stars, tougher conference, not much cap room to improve if they don't win in the next year or two

It's simply much harder to break through West.

On east, even this year, you can get to second round by accident, and your path will go as long as you avoid Buck & Celtics.

On West it's different thing, you will have terrible matchup in first round, no matter where you are seeded.
OKC can win West and for an award, play Lebron James and Anthony Davis- two of top 10 best players on planet Earth.

Boston in first round is facing Bulls without 3 starters or one legged Embiid (maybe) , worst case Indiana or Miami.

10th seed on West are Warriors with 36-32 record. 10th seed on East are Hawks while being 10 games below .500.

I never really understood why Lebron is only star in nba who figured playing on East is way more rewarding and why those stars don't join Eastern conference teams to simply have easier paths. Lebron went on what 6 straight finals from East and hardest team he ever played in all 6 years was team with 1 and half allstars. ( George & Hibbert and broken Rose & Joakim Noah).

For crying out loud, Hawks played Eastern Conference Finals in 2021 and Miami went to finals from playin last year.

Following the Magic's annual slide from games 20-40, since game 47 the Magic is 17-5 = 77% winning rate!

At a 0.6 winning rate and opponents at a 0.501 rate, over the last 12 games that sums to a 7-5 expectation and a 49-33 final record.

But: the Magic is winning at a 77% rate over the last 22 games (see above), so that win-rate would sum to 9 wins and a 51-31 record.

It is no longer "crazy" to believe that eyriq was correct in predicting 50 wins way, way back in game One.

NBA should scratch conferences and have 58 games instead, it would only be fair.

It's not about what you but who ya know!

The only reason I considered 50 was because of the 2010 Thunder. If Paolo was generational and Franz was a star and Suggs was him we win 50. I guess that's the world we live in!

It was a common knowledge that Sixers, Cavs, Knicks, Pacers, Hornets and Bulls will have significant and numerous injuries with us being mostly healthy. Many bets were placed on us even having 60 win season, I hear.

Our green goblins have started a combined 84 games. Let's call them what they are. Our DNP-CD squad.

Two things can be true at the same time. If you want to say its because some other team had an injury. Ok Popeye, we have had injuries too.
