Fun "is this anything" stat. The Magic lead the league with 2,002 free throw attempts this year.

Only 2 Magic players were born last time Cavs won playoff series without Lebron (1993)

Mattrer of fact, only two current Cavs players were born when that happened.

1996 so vast majority of players weren't born

I think i understand what front office is doing with this whole family strategy. Building a bond, commitment to team and aptidue for sacrifice is obvious but how to do it outside repeating catch phrases in every second sentece ?
For our whole species caring for and defending weak is in large part what enabled to create such large communities. Its especially visible in military where not leaving behind heavily wounded or even dead is mandatory for most elite units.
In this metaphore guys like Fultz are the aforementioned heavily wounded or dead. I really cant think of a better explanation for what we did last offseason and trade deadline. In this scenario Fultz is now being assisted from the battlefield and we will leave him in the safe place after season is over. That would explain chemistry remarks made by Parker after deadline.
Propably i am reaching like hell but i had to share this with you all :P
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

building a family environment is a way to convince players to ask for lesser money

I am worried about Paolo. Its not about shot making or even attitude but I am not sure if any superstar has as bad handle as he has. Franz is much better getting to the rim even with all the attention.
Clearly Paolo is young but we cant ignore what happens when he touches the ball this series outside of one fluke game where he didnt even had to dribble that much.
He is very valueable even if not the first option becouse he is big, strong and mobile but i fear crowning him as a franchise player was a bit too early.

He got picked multiple times when turning into double or triple teams...nobody in the league can dribble in traffic if defenders can collapse so freely on them, without fear of open guards on the perimeter punishing them. Almost everyone on the Magic has had great nights shooting 3's...basically none are reliable, even Suggs who, amazingly, has emerged as the most reliable shooter on the team.

6'10 guys aren't supposed to be able to dribble at all and we have two guys who routinely cross people over twice on their way to the rim. Least of our worries.

He’s young.

Both he and Franz have to learn to be consistent and play to their strengths/weaknesses.

its why many of us have said having a legit PG would help make him more efficient. let him establish position sometimes and then get him the ball. not having to do everything on his own off the dribble

I saw someone wearing a "Banchero/Wagner '24" shirt with the kind of layout you'd see on a political sign...awesome!

The guy whose handle is really shaky is Suggs...he's really loose with it and is collecting after a mis-dribble regularly. Banchero and Franz have elite handles for their size but nobody can escape steals when guards double down from a blind spot in the paint...better guard play will erase that from becoming a regular occurrence.

I really was high on Hezonja. Honestly though, it was all based on vibes. That said, I'd like to think Mosley could develop him.
