Paolo...triple double is his ultimate identity. Clutch, calm play. He's arrived.
Suggs...wow - showed up in a big way in a big game.
Mo... I was at the game and it felt like his impact was a lot bigger than his mins or box score. You were aware of him every sec on the floor. (we have a few guys like that - Suggs, Isaac...just so impactful whenever they're on the floor, beyond stats). Mo felt like a lot more than 14pts and 14mins.
*Saturday, it's Franz' turn for a big game

Re: Sweater Vest Thread #42: Magic 121 - Pelicans 106
It was a tale of 2 halfs (Halves?)
Suggs was the man in the 1st half, disappeared in the 2nd (offensively).
PB couldn't hit ANYTHING in the 1st half, took control in the 2nd.
While these 2 can be singled out, it really was the bench that made the difference in the win.

I also think he deserves a ton of credit for leading the 1st quarter turnaround. Suggs was a huge reason we got our **** togetherMagicMatic wrote:Message Boar wrote:I'm starting to see an interesting trend of early votes and people who write replies going towards one player (Suggs), then some more hours later the poll votes swing towards someone else who put up an impressive box score line, Paolo in this case.
Not saying it's right or wrong, just noting something I think I see.
There’s no defense in the box score.

I just feel like people make the assumption that if you aren’t making shots you aren’t playing well. Yes, in the first half Paolo wasn’t making a shot but he was doing everything else, he did have 8 rebounds and 5 assists at half and played decent defense on Zion. A lot of the assists he created were for Suggs. I don’t think people realize how many opportunities that Paolo creates for others just by being on the floor.

Suggs has been feasting on that Paolo gravity. So much so that teams pick there poison.
I smiled really hard on the replay when the defender "skipped Paolo" ran to Houstan only for Paolo to make a red sea level wide open 3 pointer.
The system like it or not works. Defense, make it messy, Franz + Paolo crash the paint surrounded by shooters.

Yeah, I definitely credit Suggs for making shots because the magic definitely need shooters but we must also look at what led to these shots.
