OT: A. J. Custom Doors

Post#1 » by Devin 1L » Fri Aug 1, 2008 6:52 pm

The catalyst for AJ Custom Doors and its hand-made, custom designs was a challenge that company president Anthony Johnson found in his own home. Johnson wanted to add a unique touch to the home he was building for his family by incorporating stained glass windows into the master bedroom doors. And not just any stained glass design would do. Johnson wanted angels. Easier said than done. He found companies that would allow him to make selections from pre-fabricated designs. But he couldn't find a company that would create the truly unique design that he had in mind.

He found his answer in artisan and craftsman Stanley Fletcher, whose distinctively artistic touch fulfilled Johnson's vision for his home. Johnson was so impressed with the quality of Fletcher's work that he designed three more doors to complete his home.

A partnership was born. Johnson recognized a business opportunity in the glowing remarks that friends and colleagues made about the beautiful doors in his home. Rounding out his management team with Fletcher's talents and those of renovation expert Greg Allen, Johnson has now filled a special niche in the custom home decor marketplace with AJ Custom Doors.

i like how the only thing he does is stain glass...windows, doors...no intricate woodworking or stylish double pane, no edgy metals...all stain glass...

Courtside you are just jealous that you can't do that. The mavs doors like pretty cool. I would say he should make one for every team he has been on but that would be to many designs. Seeing as how he has been on 7 or so teams.
