A Seminole County jury has ordered former Orlando Magic forward Don Reid to pay $10,000 to a former business partner whom Reid beat up.

Reid was arrested Sept. 24, 2004, after choking Dylan Adams, lifting him then slamming him to the floor and punching and kicking him, said David Oliver, Adams' attorney.

haha i know this guy used to be the "Enforcer" for the Magic back in the day but i didnt know he really was like that.

For whatever reason, I was a big Don Reid fan during his time with the Magic.

Nah, I know what the reason was. He was the LAST PICK of the '95 draft and still lasted in the league for eight seasons. That's pretty remarkable.

i just remember when coach called on #52 it was for one reason, to get in the middle and bang with the other big guys, commit fouls, HARD fouls. the dude was a bull and was definitely an intimidating factor. thats prolly the biggest reason why he stayed in the league for that long!

Derek Strong was actually not that strong, he was rather skinny, shorter version of Battie as I remember. Don on the other hand was a terminator built like a ford tough.
