Who said he's going to miss the all star game?

I've heard day-to-day.

Then again, I've never dislocated my shoulder. So I don't know.

I think Pietrus will be put back into the lineup, and Hedo will take care of the ball.

I am braccing myself for at least a month but hoping for 2 weeks. As long as he is not out for the season I can live with it. AJ is a huge drop off but good teams don't fall apart because of one injury. Without a top scorer, it could help the Magic pay attention to defense, especially Dwight Howard (where did the 4,5 and 6 blocks go?) and give more scoring opportunities so players like Lee and Pietrus can improve.

If it's a short time off, we're fine. We have done well with Dwight out and Jameer out. Everybody steps up their intensity to make up for a major player out. That's why teams missing their star are so dangerous. Guys who were letting the star do the work start playing to their capacity. But they can't keep it up for long. If it's a month or more, we're hurting.

Lee
Pietrus

That is the lineup if Jameer is hurt.

That's the lineup we all want, but I guarantee you that there is a 99.9% chance we see AJ as the starter. That's just sad too. The guy is the most useless player in the NBA. It's like we're playing 4 on 5 when he's in there.

well mel gibson had no problems in lethal weapon and i think jameer is tougher than him so he should be back quick! lol

i just hope its not too bad, i really hope he is fine for all star weekend at least, but this is where our lack of pg depth will hurt, hopefully lee can handle it, maybe even turk, AJ is not the answer

I don't think we'll be putting in Lee and Mickael at the same time.

With the loss of Jameer, it just takes away a lot of scoring from our team. I think Lee will be back to the bench to play the point while AJ starts at PG. So that Lee can be the spark plug off the bench and be the backup of AJ as well. Ala Keyon Dooling's role. .

oops

edit: my bad. yeah he has been clutch and has stepped up lately.

but still, I don't think Lee will be in the lineup, IMO. Especially since Lee and Hedo are the ones SVG groomed to be the 3rd PG.

Not to mention that he's been running the team very well.

Otis was on The Beat of Sports on ESPN Radio AM 1080 at about 10:35 a.m. talking to Marc Daniels and Bianchi. They expected Jameer's results back just after 11 a.m. so we should be getting an update really soon.

He didn't say it flat out, but I think Otis is expecting a torn labrum (and for Jameer to be out for the year). So he's already checking some people out.
Bianchi made Otis laugh for a full minute, pretty hilarious. Bianchi also suggested Otis look at Jason Williams. Otis quickly replied: "I might give you a call first, Mike."

OMG

out for the year?

that's beyond devastating....I don't even think a FA pickup or even a trade for pg will be sufficient enough to fill in b/c it will most likely be a sub par player b/c the magic won't be giving up too much value anyway.

The only player out there who is descent enough to have a positive impact this late in the season is Earl Watson of the Thunder IMO.

He can play very good D, can shoot from 3 and can play pick and roll offense very nicely and he might be expendable b/c of how great Westbrook is playing.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

We don't know.

What do you figure the delay is? If the results came out around 11, what is the hold up? Discussing how long he'll be out? If it is screwed, isn't it a pretty easy "welp, he's done for the season"?
