Anyway, I'm taking a break for the night, actually. Goodnight Glyde and the rest...maybe we're back on track, huh?

Oh and how are we feeling with Hedo now. He had a much better game tonight, as I predicted (and I'm sure all of you guys thought as well) he played much better when he didn't have to worry about being a point forward.

I understand but I have called our own guys out on wishing injuries, and I felt this guy was the worst I have ever saw on this board. I knew it was a risk and I have no problem with you calling me out on it.

Damn, I was hoping for more Alston pics. I was going to make a sig (carefully cutting above the #36 on his jersey, lol).

I think Rafer should stick with 36. 1 is so bleh.

Interestingly, did you know 6 is the only digit that was not appearing on any jersey this year, and has not for appeared for a while in Orlando? Not talking about 6 as a number, but even 16, 26, etc. All other digits are in use this year.

How's that for random fact of the night?

Wonder when the last time was, maybe Patrick Ewing when he wore the single digit 6? For some reason I think I remember having a number 16 on the team but cant put a finger on who it is.

I like it when players wear #1 on the Magic.

I like/liked Penny, T-Mac, Ariza, and Evans. I already liked Alston beforehand.

Don't remember Garris (from the other thread).

Wasn't Desmond Penigar wearing #26?

All-Time Magic Players with a 6 in the number:

#6 Patrick Ewing 2001-02
#26 James Robinson 2000-01, Desmond Penigar 2003-04

Thats it. Thats the list.

The Bobcats would trade their whole team for Howard, and Smith would still turn them down.

This game was wo for one simple reason: Lewis and Turkoglu his a higher percentage of jumpers.

Nelson's loss was seen in Rashard and Hedo's stat line. Game 1 of the Alston experiment suggests that the mojo is back.

What a great practice game for Alston to learn how to dish to the wing.

"Everywhere I looked, I had a weapon to pass it to," Alston said after recording eight assists...

"I think point guards in this league would love to be in that situation," he added. "Everywhere you turn, you've got a guy who can flat-out shoot it or can drive it and finish."

What impressed me really was Alston.

Comes in and just picking passes out as if he's played with us for weeks or months. He didnt have the best shooting night, but thats completely forgivable. He looked very comfortable out there and our offense looked alot more natural with him running it. Not expecting Jameer like numbers, and still some games we will lose just because we dont have Jameer to take over, but damn we are going to be a hell of alot better than we were with AJ running that point.

I like that we've gone back to Lee as the starter and MP off the bench, I just think thats a way more balanced setup.

Alston played well. He should rack up a bunch of assists here.

The Magic definitely re-focused as a team.

8 dimes on limited minutes is a very good sign.. Even AJ picked up his game hoping to carve out a niche in the rotation. It looked like Rafer has been with us all season already the way the guys interacted with him. Chemistry is building already with just one game, and I like Hedo a whole lot better with a proper pg. Shard and Hedo found their grooves again. All we needed was a pg that can penetrate and get to the paint, huge difference.
