If Stan would have used Jameer more efficiently in the first game, and play more cautious, the first one would have been as close as this one, maybe, opening the way for a better result this game. Now, we will see if they can improve on the current result.
I think Stan has to find out a way to put Odom in foul trouble. He is too active, and that means, he is capable of getting called for careless fouls, if the players can play right into that. In Cavaliers, Varejao did that messing job successfully. Magic played better with him out, often times. Considering Odom is his offensively superior counterpart in Lakers, it becomes much more important to stop him.
Also, not being able to create good plays for Dwight continues. Tonight, there were again some good opportunities for Dwight, had he decided to go his right, instead of his left. Lakers know his habits, and since they are very good at intercepting passes, they make it as difficult as it can get for Dwight. Without having those passes it will be difficult to get him open. That is a reason why Jameer was the key for being on the winning side during the regular season. His penetration skills makes it highly problematic for the Lakers. Now he cannot do that, since he is not that fast.
Anyways, still, they played this game much better. If they can carry the momentum to the next game, any game from now on will be a winnable one.
