JJ was the best option we had tonight. Lee sucked. Rafer Sucked. Peaches fouled out. At least they had to guard JJ.

they had to guard JJ for what? his bricks? gimme a break

The guards blew. JJ was playing BETTER then the rest of them. That's why he played.

It's cowardly to blame the loss on the refs. Were they a factor? Sure, I guess the refs are a factor in every game. But on the list of reasons why we lost this game, the refs don't crack the top five.

Oh, they were at least #4...

I'm assuming that was directed at me...FRIEND.

If you'll read my post, I don't think I ever accused you of doing...anything. I was talking about people in general. You asked why it was cowardly to blame the refs, and I answered your question. At no point did I say you were a coward.

Geez, if only our players were as defensive as you are.

No "PAL", that was directed at GUY himself. The "guy" with the JVG sig...hate to douse your flareup

Two people played good tonight...
Rashard and Hedo
Dwight hustled and got rebounds, but way too many turnovers
Rafer... 1-8 come on rafer.. if your not shooting well, PLAY POINT GUARD
JJ... played good defense, but missing wide open threes.. JJ you are threes...
Courtney.. I know those layups were hard but cant miss layups like that, he's a rookie.. but man...
Jameer... looked like he hadn't played in four months.. had a couple good passes
Pietrus... got cheap fouls.. but you gotta stay in front of Kobe. (good luck with that)

I heard the color guys talk about that. I think the explanation was that it didn't affect the outcome of the shot. And they're right. Lee's shot was waaay too strong. No way it would have gone in, even without Gasol's interference.

That was a unfortunate case of dumb luck.

As for tonight's game. 20 TOs, missing key FTs(20-27), jakin up too many 3 pointers(10-30 for 33%) Can this team for once do a better job of slashin to the hole and draw fouls against the Lakers? Now that the series will be in Orlando. The team has to do something to make things right or the series will be all said and done.

lol "Dwight, do you think that the Lebron puppet is cooler then the Kobe Puppet"

"Dwight, do you think Lebron would beat Kobe in the finals?"

"Dwight, what were you thinking when that shot by Lebron was in the air?"

"Dwight, if you could pick one guy to have a sleepover with who would you pick Lebron or Kobe?"

If Stan would have used Jameer more efficiently in the first game, and play more cautious, the first one would have been as close as this one, maybe, opening the way for a better result this game. Now, we will see if they can improve on the current result.

I think Stan has to find out a way to put Odom in foul trouble. He is too active, and that means, he is capable of getting called for careless fouls, if the players can play right into that. In Cavaliers, Varejao did that messing job successfully. Magic played better with him out, often times. Considering Odom is his offensively superior counterpart in Lakers, it becomes much more important to stop him.

Also, not being able to create good plays for Dwight continues. Tonight, there were again some good opportunities for Dwight, had he decided to go his right, instead of his left. Lakers know his habits, and since they are very good at intercepting passes, they make it as difficult as it can get for Dwight. Without having those passes it will be difficult to get him open. That is a reason why Jameer was the key for being on the winning side during the regular season. His penetration skills makes it highly problematic for the Lakers. Now he cannot do that, since he is not that fast.

Anyways, still, they played this game much better. If they can carry the momentum to the next game, any game from now on will be a winnable one.

I think a team without Turkoglu would be a little strange though overall. Rashard chasing after SGs when Pietrus switches onto SFs would be pretty poor. Imagine Rashard chasing Ray Allen down as Pietrus gets Pierce.
