Pistons Could Turn To Turkoglu With Cap Space

Post#1 » by Magic Mamba » Mon Jun 8, 2009 4:01 pm

Reports have suggested the Pistons will be interested in Ben Gordon, Carlos Boozer and Paul Millsap this summer, but they could also make a play for Hedu Turkoglu.

Turkoglu is most likely to remain in Orlando, but could be lured away if a team with cap space offers a better deal.

one thing with turk if he leaves, I belive that's the one player we do a S&T with. The way the organization has treated him, his career BLEW up here, and he seems to like it here. If the money draws him away, I'm sure he'd do something to help us out..

But, Hedo seems to REALLY love it here, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get 8 mil and stay..

If this happened, it would be a domino effect. Prince would probably be dealt, maybe to Utah for Boozer, but then they would probably have to deal AK-47, and so on. But yeah, Prince would be gone if they got Hedo.

Hedo is not a Detroit Piston type player.

I'm not so sure he wouldn't fit in with Detroit. When Hedo really wants to (or decides to expend the energy there), he can play pretty tough defense. San Antonio praised his defense at the time, because he was on a team that put a premium on defense and he bought into it. That said, I doubt he goes there.

Pistons need some scoring and Hedo can provide that. But he will be too expensive for the Pistons.

I love pipe dreams, you think Hedo will play second fiddle and earn less money than Rashard Lewis? if Magic brass really respect Hedo they would entertain any sign and trade offers for any teams, this is a business the Magic will do whatever they need to do to protect their interest and Hedo, his agent and his family will do likewise.

Hedo might want Lewis money, but he won't get it.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability
