Barnes, Wafer, Bogans in that order. Of course price isn't taken into effect.

My preference would be:

1) Barnes
2) Wafer
3) Open Roster Spot
4) Bogans

Luxury tax aside, they can only offer any new FA the league minimum or the remainder of the MLE (between 1-2 million since Bass' starting salary is ~4 million). Because we used the Bi-Annual exception on AJ, that's not an option either. I'm thinking it boils down to who wants to play here more than who the MAGIC choose.

He may not be bad, but you'll get more production when you need it from Barnes or Wafer. Even Bogans may do more. Graham hasn't really improved since he's come into the league. Honestly, if I'm Otis, I push for Barnes, but if he signs elsewhere, sign Wafer. I still think we need a pg. They should call Arroyo. Ronnie Price resigned with Utah today. Theres always Jason Hart, Luther Head, or Marbury... Ok, not Marbury. Arroyo would be the best fit. So Barnes/Wafer and Arroyo.

Barnes because of his defense. But Wafer is a scoring machine. Barnes then Wafer, but I would hate to see Barnes go to the Cavs.

Actually it seems that Cleveland and on other NBA team would agree with.
And since it's about the money Barnes is more likely to go to one of these teams since the Magic don't have that kind of money left in with their MLE.

More likely the Magic end up filling the remaining slots from summer league then not this is just my opinion.

I think he is. He could be that piece that puts us over the top. To me, a ring is worth it.

The problem with that thinking is that the Magic don't have that kind of money left. All they can offer is what is left from the MLE around 1 million and the vet min.
So no matter how you put it Barnes goes for the money and the Magic don't have it to give to him, Cleveland on the other hand does.

No matter what we say about how much money the Magic have left to sign players do many keep on thinking that the Magic can offer anything they want and they can't do that.

I didnt even know carney was a FA last year he had some big scoring games and he is long so he could very well guard quite a few players.

Matt Barnes just recently interviewed at a charity game and said that he was close to signing with the Cavs so thats not looking too good.

We now turn to Wafer.

This is NOT good by any stretch of the imagination. Cleveland hardly lost anybody to get Shaq. Now they also add Anthony Parker and Matt Barnes....talk about a deep bench and a bigger lineup with O'Neal. Cleveland is a much better team with more offensive punch...their 3 point game will be equally deadly because with Shaq they can play inside out like the Magic. Folks, this is NOT GOOD NEWS if BARNES GOES TO Cleveland.

We have a plenty of scorers already. We need better defense off the bench now. Wafer does not fit that bill at all, Barnes might be out of reach and Bogans did just fine with us the last 2 times we've had him. Also, he is NOT allergic to the paint as previously posted. His role with this team, as directed by SVG, was to be a spot up shooter on the wing to spread the floor. With that said it doesn't mean he is or ever will be a slasher or a finisher around the rim like CLee did for us last year.

Why some fans are clamoring for Wafer is beyond my imagination. We don't need an offensive-minded wingman. What we need is a defensive-oriented one like Barnes. Outside of Peaches, we don't have a legit wing stopper. I know Vince can if he tries but that would require some energy which might spell trouble on his 32-yr. old body.
