Dooling wouldn't be a bad option. I think this year JJ will get a little more playing time. I think Hedo leaving could be a blessing in disguise. I think it will give more players the chance grow a little.

You should be able to pick up a decent pg with that, if necessary.

We now have 10 players. We need more, not fewer, so a 2 for 1 trade isn't sensible. AJ and JJ are both solid bench players who know how to work with our core and our coach. We can do just fine with a camp guy for a third pg for the typical short-term injuries to Jameer or AJ. I can see picking up one more vet, probably a wingman. Then all we need are some benchwarmers/practice squad guys, particularly those with potential to develop.

I'm all for trading JJ Redick, I'm still appauled that he's still with us and two BETTER players in Bogans and Lee are gone. I'd like to keep AJ though, that old dude has some guts, and our team needs that.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

We're not going to be trading away 2 players for 1 this summer.

We might pickup a decent backup SG/SF and then fill the rest of our roster with Foyle/Batman and summer leaguers.

I would love Earl Watson if his salary wasnt so dang big. OKC has no need for him, but i dont see Otis taking on $6.6mil for a backup PG...

What about Chris Duhon? Otis wanted him pretty badly last summer, and with NY going hard after Andre Miller, Duhon may be out. I know he's making around 6 million, but his contract is only for 1 more year.

Another option that is fairly polarizing is I'm sure Nate Robinson would love to come to Orlando in a sign and trade that gets him around 4-5 million per.

For a 3rd stringer, i think jj could fill that role. He has improved his decision making and i seriously doubt that he will have a height disadvantage against most pg.

what about taking a chance on Jamaal Tinsley? Use our TPE on him and he expires in 2 seasons. Last year, Otis was about to trade for him if the Alston trade fell through. It's a big risk, high reward type move.

I wouldn't mind AJ & JJ for Duhon, only if we have a JJ replacement already on the roster.

And I feel similar to the few positive JJ feelings on here. Kid worked his ass off the last 3 yrs and has definitely gotten better. Has grown to accept his role and perform well in it. Losing him wouldn't be as hurtful as it was to lose Lee, but there would be a lil' sting.

In my mind that's a waste of our TPE..

Aj and JJ for Duhon? Sign me up but like you said with another backup SG.. Also I'm liking what JJ has done but to me if a coach let's you start vs the Celtics and then you go back to the bench in another series because of the mismatches, there's something wrong. You can have a player like that as your third option but not as the regular backup if the trust isn't there because of supposed mismatches..
