Glad it isn't worse and I hope he doesn't have any long term impact to his health or career.

This is a highly Sixery situation.

What absolute human scum....

Read on Twitter

After being struck by the car, Oubre Jr. walked to Spruce and Hicks streets where he was found by medics.

The player was reportedly walking near his residence when he was struck. He was transported to Jefferson Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Representatives from the team, including 76ers President Daryl Morey, are at the hospital with Oubre Jr., team officials say.

He is expected to miss significant play time due to his injuries from the collision, but officials do not believe the injuries are season-ending.

Police say after the crash, a silver vehicle fled the scene. An investigation into this incident is still ongoing.

This **** was a **** hit and run.... are you kidding me?

The driver fled was probably on their stupid phone. This is why you can't trust motorists these days to many distractions on the road. If you are out walking doing whatever pay close attention to motorists it could save your life. I hope they catch the driver. Get well soon Kelly!

Unfortunately, hit and runs have become very common in the city lately

Being as though it's a Saturday night in Philly, the person that hit him 9 times out of 10 was under the influence of something

Glad it wasn't too serious and I hope he comes back soon

Gotta to be a broken bone if he’s missing significant time per repeat As a physician in trauma center. Patients can be sent home after being struck by car as pedestrians. As long as fracture isn’t open injury. Doesn’t need to be fixed right away. Ankle fx or wrist fracture the most common injuries that do not require immediate surgery and patient can be sent home

You can tell a person's character by the way they operate in their car. And I'm not just talking about driving either.

Almost every time:

If you're a driver who drives recklessly and gives no F's, you're almost always a POS in real life.

If you're someone who doesn't maintain their car at all and it's dirty and full of trash, you're usually someone who has bad hygiene and self care.

If you're someone who drives around at 3 am in residential areas with the subwoofer and music cranked up so loud it shakes the walls of every home in the neighborhood(happens so much in Philly), this type of person is almost always a trailer trash dbag.

And honestly, given this city, who knows if it was even a car. You see motor vehicle accident and assume car, as most would, but the rate clowns in this city speed around on their POS dirt bikes and quads I wouldn't be stunned if one of those hit him. This city is full of losers who have nothing better to do than fly around streets at 100 mph on those things because they think it makes them gangsta.

I was hit by a car on a bike when I was a teenager (was being silly and riding no hands). I wasn't veering all over the road, I was in control and crossing a street with an exit to suburban neighborhood on my left. I saw a car with bright beams in my peripheral and assumed the driver was going to allow me my passage of way. I was wrong lmfao. The next thing I know I'm maybe 4 or 5 feet off the ground and then I slide across the asphalt like the Joker. I received some superficial burns from the slide that eventually completely healed. Thankfully the bike ate a majority of the impact as well. I was also of the age when your body is completely malleable so it sounds a lot worse than impact actually received. And just like Kelly the driver was gone before anyone could aid me assistance.

I was really falling in love with the Kelly Oubre experience. I'm sure he'll be back and be fine, but he seems like such a cool individual and he's also father. More than anything, the teasing of our mortality always makes you realign with your core priorities.

I hope the guys can win the in season tournament in his honor, and then momentum that towards his return and our furthest playoff run yet.

“It happened on Broad and Locust streets at approximately 7 p.m., according to police.”

— “After being struck by the car, Oubre Jr. walked to Spruce and Hicks streets where he was found by medics.”

Around 350 meters and 5 mins walk. Hopefully nothing serious.

Feel bad for Kelly. Hope he is ok and recovers.

The fact that he walked on his own after the incident, and has been released from the hospital already sounds like injuries are not serious.

They said he'll be out for a significant time so I'm not sure about that.

Yea I think that's a old pic. I'm sure we will get a report soon on his injuries.
