Why the hell does Cal have Wheeler in there on defensive possessions?

Hoggard beasted Wheeler and then spinned on him and generated a wide open layup. Oscar's helpside defense bailed him out.

I say this every year, but obligatory: College basketball is just bad. It's intended to be watched in highlight form to sift through the excruciatingly boring possessions.

Or for the last shot of the game. He's not an actual threat to shoot it.

Hauser hasn't shot the ball in like 10 minutes despite their offense going completely anemic. Not complaining as a Kentucky fan, but that's the difference between this and the NBA. Hauser would have like 5+ shots in that stretch.

Love Oscar, but he's actively trying to sabotage this game.

Lance Ware with excellent and restrained defense on that switch. Incredible.

The Tyson Walker show is awful to watch.

He's a 6' 160 pound munchkin no name recruit that iso at the end of the game and doesn't pass. He's the reason they lost to Gonzaga.

Would be nice if Cason could go 2-2 from the line in clutch moments.

Wallace off the ball hitting the corner three. Love this kid. I like him better than I did Jalen Suggs so far.

Walker blocking Wheeler is like two 12 years olds on a Fisher Price hoop.

Wheeler is more chaotic than Dwight Howard and has way more consequential responsibilities.

How is Lance Ware this offensively incompetent in year 3 in the program? He was a former top 40 recruit. And Michigan State can get away with just putting Hauser on him because he's no scoring threat.

Calipari doing the whole "big man gets easy baskets" late in the game. Problem is, you have two big men with zero touch at the basket. I'd rather watch Fredick and Reeves take jumpers tbh.

As I write this, our senior point guard just traveled in a pivotal moment, lol.

Outside of Oscar, the most efficient scorers for Kentucky tonight have been Wallace and Toppin. Yet I think I can recall one FGA either has gotten down the stretch.

So this guy is like a top 3 pick, right?

Keyonte George is another one that feels like another one who will be a top 5 pick and be nasty in the pros. We'll see if he keeps this level of production up.

This freshman class has some MAJOR performers so far.

Forwards:
Kel'el Ware
Taylor Hendricks
Brandon Miller
Jett Howard
Kyle Filipowski

Guards:
Keyonte George
Cason Wallace

And there's obviously going to be some additional guys that emerge. Someone like Anthony Black, for instance. And I want to see more playmaking from Gradey Dick so he can bring something to the table other than shooting.

Diaz Graham twins for Pitt are so interesting. It feels like Pitt is a tanking NBA team just making bets on risky prospects.
