UTAH/NJ - PHI Millsap/Morrow for Iggy

Post#1 » by blackham9258 » Wed Mar 14, 2012 6:21 am

UTA Out: Millsap/CJ
UTA In: Iggy

PHI Out: Iggy
PHI In: Millsap/Morrow

NJ Out: Morrow
NJ In: CJ

NJ does this because they need to clear a little more cap to sign both Howard and Deron in the off season. Cj is Derons best friend from Utah so they hook him up with a buddy to make the losing at the end of the year palatable until his real running mate comes and if they want to resign CJ on the cheap they can next year. CJ expires after this year.

Philly fans, we love Millsap. He is our Captain and overall best player. We hate to give him up but recognize the young bigs need to run. Millsap was close to making the all star team in the west and might be making it in the east for you guys. He is a total Collins guy. You also pick a cheap contract and great shooter in Morrow. Both guys expire after next year and you save on Iggy's final year when the new CBA kicks in. Millsap and Morrow might be some of the best contracts in the NBA.

UTA does this because they need perimeter D and need to give the young bigs some time. They can take the cap hit in year three because all their guys are essentially on rookie contracts. Also the call has to be made at some point if it is going to be Al or Millsap that get signed after next year and and I think Al's size and superior low post game make him the choice for Utah.

While some fans here like Millsap, no matter how much of a Collins guy he is, Iguodala is *more* of a Collins guy. I just don't see him being available, especially seeing how he and Turner seem to be clicking.

Personally I'm not a big Milsap fan, and IF Iguodala were headed that way, I think Hayward would need to be coming back to us too. I don't really like Morrow, he's a slightly taller Meeks (who we are about to trade).

Also, this will be locked shortly, as we have a fantasy trade for this, fyi.

Just too add ..
I like Milsap as well but I think that Milsap will do nothing in the east to help the 6ers..
1- Brands back up
2- Short and cannot defend the 4's & 5's of the east.
3- Would not help push us past the 2nd rd of the playoffs.

6ers forum has a fantasy thread for these types of post. Ask a Mod to move your thread.
Make them respond to your way of playing not the other way around

I want Morrow, more reliable Meeks.
