Hmmm....say chuckin style of Lou...A lil bit bigger, better overall scorer, but Lou is much better driving and getting contact... Think this is a lateral movie...Least they did something...Dumbasses should have signed Eric Gordon...

I love this signing if it's only 1 year for 6 million. Retain cap flexibility!

1. Sixers pulling a page out of other Philly teams playbook and signing players that have success against them.

2. This board is about to go apes*** in approval. Nick Young/J.R. Smith have been coveted for years.

3. This is probably the end of Turner.

4. Doug Collins is going to hate this guy.

5. We just got ourselves a long-range shooter.

Does this mean Lou is gone?

Love it, nothing to lose with this signing, we get a player that can score as well as Lou, in fact he can shoot better, and he won't be given the responsability of chucking at the end of the Quarters, as Lou so we can see other players trying to do it. Also he can defende a little and if he doesn't work with us, we just let him walk and thats it.

Don't really see that.

More likely end of Iguodala, Turner slots to SF.

One year deal is good to see if he is a nice fit.

This can't be good for Lou.

Terrific signing if it is for 1 year.

Certainly feels like one of Lou/Iguodala/Turner has to not be back now.

it will be nice to see jrue/et/iggs drive the lane & kick out to a guy who can actually shoot.

So this means 1 of the following two things is true, correct?

1. Lou is gone
2. Brand is going to amnestied

With Lou's cap hold and Spencer's signing (or cap hold if they execute the Young signing first), I don't think we had 6 million under the cap to spend. Which would mean we either need to amnesty Brand or renounce Lou (most likely of the two) to make this move, correct?

Brand is JUST gone. They've amnestied him.

I believe this means that we are going to amnesty Brand. If I am correct, we are over the cap and would be unable to sign a player for 6 million, so Brand being amnestied would drop us about 15 million under.

I like it. No such thing as a bad 1 year deal.

I think Lou opting out dropped us about 6 million under the cap. Signing Spence took us just over. Allen and Nick Young take us about 9 million over, and removing Brand will leave us about 9 million under.

Not sure what the plan is behind this signing. I would say that he is our new sixth man but its only for one year, so maybe Lou will be coming back? I have no idea, but I definitely do not think it is the end of Turner. Young is the kind of player that would fit well next to him
