Spencer Hawesome
Seriously wtf is going on with him?
He's been **** the whole year and now we are out of the playoff race, this dude starts balling?
I never seen Hawes use a post move let alone play in the paint
He used to just stay on the perimeter but now hes actually playing like a real center?
Hes actually using somewhat of a post move and isn't playing soft

Hawes is balling in March. Hate the wins were getting but love the way he is playing.

Hawes grew on me big time this past month. He's played as well as any big man this last month. I really want to see him work more in the low post.

Good. Makes it easier to trade his ass.
Two weeks don't make a career. I don't want to see him next season.

If DC is here.. Spence will be here..
I haven't checked his March totals but I do know we haven't won many games with him so he still isn't a game changer..

Make them respond to your way of playing not the other way around

They're 5-4 in their last 9 after winning 3 games total in February so I can't agree with your statement. 16ppg 11reb
3blk 4 asst and shooting 56%-44%-80% over that stretch. Along with Thad and Dorrell he's been our most consistent player this month. Jrue has been up and down.
Hawes has done thus before with us and then reverts to the same old Spencer. We'll see. At the worst he's one of the best backup centers in the league. He doesn't break the bank. Don't understand all the negativity towards this guy. Some of the expectations for the guys on our roster are crazy. He's not Hakeem or Shaq and never was going to be. Get over it.

He's scored 14+ points in 13 of the last 16 games. Averaging 10.1 rebounds in the last 16 games. 2 blocks per game during that span and almost 4 assists.
Pretty impressive, and I've never been a Spencer Hawes fan either.

I think he will have some value on draft night, especially if we are willing to take back some money in the deal.

Re: Spencer Hawesome
I'd love to see some of the trade proposals people think we would REALISTICALLY get for Hawes on draft night/Off-season.
I'd certainly have no issue parting with him, but if he goes, we're left with Kwame Brown and 6'8 lavoy Allen as our centers.......yea.

Re: Spencer Hawesome
It's hard for me to hate on the guy. He was probably our best player for the first ten games last year before he got hurt. He came in this season thinking he was going to play PF and lost weight in order to do so. He ends up coming off the bench for months into the season as Doug plays around with the lineup, and now he's settled into a role and producing. Hate all you want....we could be a lot worse off and I'm happy he's picked it up.
Thankfully so too....hopefully this ends any of the talk I heard around the trade deadline of including him in a package for Bargnani in the offseason.

It is not "hate". It is seeing things in reality. Hawes isn't a bum that doesn't deserve to be in the league. We know the guy can play and is a sure fire NBA player. But he shouldn't be starting nor should he be someone we should be giddy about or creating threads about. Hawes is just a guy. Nothing more, nothing less.
As for we could be off a lot worse...isn't that what we want?

So he shows up for the first 10 games last year and the 10 games this year after we were 10 games back in the playoff hunt and suddenly we should forgive him for playing bad basketball? I do not forget how bad Hawes was for most of the past two seasons. It's not just offense, he is flat out bad on defense. Hopefully we trade him and get something in return during the offseason.
I speak the truth.

Re: Spencer Hawesome
I really think OKC would want him as an upgrade to a washed up Perkins. We'd just need to figure out what we need to be compensated to take on Perks extra year and significantly lower production. I don't think the Tor 1st/Lamb are outside the realm of possibility, IMO.

Hawes isn't an enforcer, but he has had some nice stretches. Play him next to a physical big, and you would have a nice combo.
