Just seeing the results Henry Sims is putting forth with Greg Foster's tutelage has got me giddy about what Noel is gonna look like next year.

I think that's accurate. Noel could have that Garnett-like ability to defend 3 through 5 effectively. It'd be awesome to use him against guys like KD, LeBron, Melo, Dirk in spurts.

Chad Ford says Noel would have been top 5 in this year's draft too... looks like we'll be getting the equivalent of 3 top 10 picks next year.

wouldnt that be pretty funny in a sad way that we ended up with our best prospect with the 6th pick last year even if we have the 4/5th pick in a loaded draft lol

Wiggins will give you this defensive versatility as well.

Tweets from Noel's exit interview. Love everything I hear from this kid.

I've thought about that a couple times over the course of the season. I like the 2014 class's prospects, but I think Noel is severely underrated.

Noel's ACL injury while unfortunate for him, was a blessing in disguise for us.
If Noel doesn't get hurt, he's likely the top pick in the draft, and not a part of our future.

can't wait too see what the kid can do on the floor.

Him being 225 is why I still stand by him being a PF defensively. He's going to bang with the Drummonds of the league?

How heavy was KG as a sophomore? Or at Noel's age?

KG was still in HS when he was Noel's age.

Huh? KG was born in '76 and made his NBA debut in '95 (age 19).

Probably not much different than Noel. Why do you ask? KG was/is a PF.

Noel just turned 20 this week.

Minnesota had KG playing Small Forward his 1st couple of seasons, they even hasd him defending Shooting guards some games. Similar to the Bucks with Giannis. But yeah, KG was as thin as Noel, and he looked even thinner because Noel has broader shoulders. Noel looks like David Robinson at Navy.

I have no doubt that Noel can defend 4's and many 3's in the league.

My problems with him playing the 4 though(and theoretically drafting Embiid to play the 5) is that offensively Noel is pretty limited.

Garnett had more offensive skill and potential than Noel does.

Plus, despite the fact that Noel COULD defend from the 4 spot, I think that his best attributes as a rim protector would be better served close to the basket.

Noel is an elite shot blocker and good post defender....even if he can,we really don't want him out on the perimeter too much.

Yeah, not too much but he does have the quickness to rotate out to the arc as part of the defensive scheme, especially if we have another rim protector like Embiid or Vonleh.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.
