I chose Lavine last time but my second choice was Nik then so it's Nik

“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

I went with Stauskus, but I don't have a strong feeling either way.

Both have similar weaknesses on D, but I see Stauskas more easily fitting into a more secondary role on offense that magnifies his game. I love his ability to handle, which makes him an excellent P/R man along with his jump shot, and the way he uses multiple screens to get open,

People often claim McDermott is a better Korver, but I actually see more translatable skills in Stauskas that are similar to Korver, only with more versatility. Wiggins and Stauskas would be ideal since Stauskas would add scoring and shooting until Wiggins further develops his offensive game, while Wiggins' defensive versatility means you can hide Stauskas on the weaker wing scorer of the other team while Wiggins shuts down their big gun.

Depends where they take him. At 10, yep, there would be blood in the streets.

At a trade down from ten or with a late teens pick gotten some other way, then he looks like a bargain. I think he will make a good sixth/seventh man in the league eventually, so there is definite value in that and the team desperately needs shooting and lots of it.

I would take him at 10 over the 3 headed tie we had in our sixers board picks. I think he would be the perfect player to have with Nerlens down low and Wiggins slashing to the net. McBuckets raining some 3's coming off the bench as he gets comfortable behind Thad.

Man this draft is really bizarre after the top 7 or so.

I voted Stauskas....but id probably be just has happy if not more with McDaniels or Adams.

I have little interest in Saric, even if his three point shooting has improved, and it was a small sample size of improvement, his release is ultra-slow. Harris is the Toyota Camry kind of guy, will get a ton of good, solid miles from him, but nothing exciting. James Young looks high risk/high reward to me.

I agree with your premise, just give me Stauskas over McDermott.

Is Stauskas going to be anything more than JJ Reddick?
