While Okafor and Towns are intriguing, I'd rather pair Embiid with a dominant guard.

I also say this because I'm more onboard with trading away MCW than Noel.

I think when you are building a team from inside out it is wise to get the best big availiable specially if your bigs have a injury history like Embiid and Noel. A third high caliber big man would alleviate the pressure tremendously on our roster if something bad happens. Guys who fit are Karl Anthony Towns and Myles Turner because of their defense and outside shooting abilities. Gives us a instant upgrade over Sims and Davies. 3 7footers would give this team a instant identity. I am all about playing Saric / Grant as a big 3 's with big point guards like MCW / Wroten / Micic running the point spot.

Feel like the only way we would end up with Stanley Johnson is if we sadly had to pick 4th. Don't see how he jumps Towns, Okafor, or Mudiay.

Bucks fan, wanted to drop in and ask around here since I figure you guys are probably the most knowledgeable posters on next years draft prospects. I really like Hezonja and Stanley Johnson and I was wondering where do you guys think they'll fall? What is their ceiling?

fairly underwhelmed with this draft class. not really feeling the stress to get 1st pick like I was last year.

Okafor is a slightly improved Al Jefferson
Mudiay is overrated. Has some disturbing flaws in his game
Towns looks good. Not sure I see him as an elite NBA player
Hezonja is a bust

still think Myles Turner could be the best big man in the long run. He's raw , but I love the potential.

I was thinking we should go for Turner or Towns to solidify a dominate future big man rotation for our team. Our bigs play the high post quite often and have open looks . Turner or towns can definitely knock it down. I don't think either have the motor , defense or athleticism to take Noel or Embiid's starting position. However both compliment them well off the bench. We definitely need insurance as well.

Mudiay isn't much of a improvement over MCW or Wroten . Why draft a similar player that we already have . Point guards are a dime a dozen.

Hezonja is intriguing with our Miami pick. He is 6'8 shooting guard who can shoot and play effectively off ball. A skill set that we currently don't have. Not many guys in this draft have his size, experience and ability all in one.

If it was up to me I would try to move our pick at deadline for Kawhi Leonard and lock him up for a longterm deal.

I was thinking along those lines. I think Okafor is clearly the best prospect. He's the only guy who wows me. No other prospects have done that.
The clips I saw of Mudiay show potential but his highlights were far from great. I think he could be very good in about 3 years though.
Towns looks good.
Myles Turner had a great game a few days ago. A few more games like that then he could crack the top 5. He can shoot the 3 too. I like his game. I don't like big men who just stay out on the perimeter though so I will keep an eye on him to see how much he bangs down low.
Porzingis seems good but is slow footed which is a turn off for me but he seems to have some nice tools.
Stanley Johnson is just steady. No major flaws but nothing spectacular.

I'd probably go for Towns. I feel like all three have the same ceiling, and Towns would fit in well with our team, on top of the fact that I am not sure how Okafor/Embiid would gel, and that the next draft class has quite a bit of talented perimeter prospects, which would make it easy to pass on Mudiay. Now, it's super unlikely, but if MCW continues to suck the whole season, I'd probably go with Mudiay.

I agree that Towns may be the best fit. An Embiid/Noel/Towns trio could eat up all the quality minutes at the pf/c positions.

As for 2016, I really like Svi: great court vision, extremely intelligent, highly skilled, pretty athletic. I think he might actually be able to play 'pg' on a team with other dominant ball handlers (like LeBron).

It would be fun to see the team draft Towns this year, then draft Svi and sign Durant and LeBron in 2016.

Svi/MCW
Durant/Wroten
LeBron/Saric
Noel/Towns
Embiid

Durant would get minutes at sf, LeBron at pf, and Noel/Towns at c. Svi could also get minutes at sg and sf. If the team decides it just doesn't want the Svi/MCW/LeBron committee at pg, they'd have plenty of assets with which to trade for a top-shelf pg.

That team might have 3 of the 4 best players in the NBA in 3 years (Durant/LeBron/Embiid; only missing AD).

Freaky good. Wildly talented and wildly flexible. Be fun to see :)

Me too.

However, I'd like to reserve the right to bitch and moan should it not work out in the first 2 games.

Turner is probably the only player that could get into the top 3 other than the current top 3.

So much can change between now and the draft. What the heck is going on with Oubre? He is hardly seeing the floor.

If we get a Okafor or a towns in the top 3 we could always trade back a few spots to a team like Boston and get a asset like Marcus Smart and a draft pick such as Stanley Johnson.

Whew!!!!!!

MCW
Smart
Johnson
Noel
Embiid

Stanley Johnson would be a win for you guys.

An elite wing defender is something every team needs.

Does he even get minutes?

He might have to transfer or pull a Xavier Henry at this point....

He was always going to be a boom-or-bust player. Still, pretty weird he isn't even getting decent playing time.
