Completely different subject than I thought when I read the thread title. I was thinking that Lurk had come up with the only way for the team to play 0.500 ball this year through 82 intra-squad scrimmages

I normally refer to the team as the Sixers when speaking, but obviously stick to 76ers for official name.

If I'm just saying the team I say Sixers...as in, I am going to see the Sixers tonight.

If we were the Sixers we'd be representing the year 6 AD, which would mean instead of 1776 and the birth of our nation, the name origins of the team would be heavily in Europe and Caesar Augustus. No real connection to Philly unless you think the Italian Market has some connection to Ancient Rome.
