Gerald Henderson is only 28? Wth?

Shot career high 35.3% from deep last season.

Surprisingly only 28, there's the starting 2 guard some were looking for. Shot 35.3% from 3 this year, at least 33% each of the last 4 years.

Hey I'll take it! Cheap deal, relatively speaking. BC keeps impressing me with the acquisitions. :)

I don't like it, but I don't hate it.

I think that's a good thing.

Im more curious at to who gets the axe to make room?

I don't mind Henderson here. He's a quality kid, has local ties (dunked on me in High School haha) and had a decent mid range game in Charlotte.

We need guys. These signings are solid imo. Quality vets that will be stop gaps while we build the team. Now we have some veteran leadership and hard-workers to help the young core. At this point I like this more than throwing a ton of money at Allen Crabbe.

So possible 15 man squad:

Jerryd Bayless / Sergio Rodriguez / T.J. McConnell
Gerald Henderson / Nik Stauskas / Timothe Luwawu
Robert Covington / Jerami Grant / Hollis Thompson
Ben Simmons / Dario Saric / Richaun Holmes
Joel Embiid / Nerlens Noel / Jahlil Okafor

Carl Landry likely cut unless Saric doesn't come over.

Would personally expect Luwawu and Holmes to spend a lot of time in the D-League next season if there are no injuries.

not bad. Henderson/Bayless are 2 decent inexpensive stopgap starters for the next 2 seasons while we develop the youngsters.

Not a fan of this move, have never liked Henderson, not a good enough 3pt threat IMO.

That said I guess I'd rather give hime that money than Waiters, but I'm not sure he really brings much more to our team than Hollis does :(

This might be the end of Stauskas.....
The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

Placeholder, very professional guy, really was more suited to be a SG 25 years ago. His lack of a truly deep jumper has limited him. Hopefully he keeps improving that, but mainly we keep flexibility and haven't touched Waiters, which is its own win.

He will be a great locker room guy at worst, and a good example to the young players. He's a hard worker, decent defender, and can throw down a power dunk as well as almost anyone in the league. I think its a good pickup for you guys.

Marshall seems like the obvious candidate. Have Bayless, Rodriguez, and McConnell as our PG's.
