well, this is poor decision making. Nik is a waste of a roster spot.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Not surprising. Stauskas makes 3 million. They don't want to eat that money. They know he's a waste of time, they're just praying to get some value out of him before they finally cut him

With David Aldridge predicting Noel to the Pelicans, I have a sneaking suspicion that Colangelo may be looking in that direction. If Hield (who I don't even really like) isn't in that transaction, I'm going to be pissed. I'm expecting Tyreke Evans.

Link?

No way does New Orleans trade Buddy for Noel, but I'd love if we made a play to get Jrue back.

FWIW, Aldridge described these as "insane" predictions on his Twitter:

http://www.nba.com/article/2016/10/24/morning-tip-24-predictions-for-2016-17-season?collection=news

6. Nerlens Noel will be dealt ... to the New Orleans Pelicans

Noel wants out and the Philadelphia 76ers have indicated they’ll ultimately thin their frontcourt herd. Sending Noel to the Pelicans would be an easy move for both teams. The Pelicans need a more agile, mobile center to defend today’s stretch fives and such than Omer Asik (remember when he was the darling of the advanced stats folk?), and Noel is still on his rookie deal. Philly isn’t anywhere near the cap and could take an expiring contract back (is that you, Tyreke Evans?) or a two-way guard like Langston Galloway with no difficulty. Of course, Noel was originally picked by New Orleans in the 2013 Draft, and traded to Philly for Jrue Holiday and a 2014 first-rounder. It was Sam Hinkie’s first big deal in Philly.

Lol, Noel for just Hield? No no no. I'm guessing it would be Noel, Covington, and a future first for Hield and probably Asik. I'm predicting we get fleeced on a few trades.

I want no part of Buddy Hield at any realistic price NOP would ask for.

Has anyone said anything about the Sixers making any waiver claims?

Don't like this move at all.

Stauskas is a 3+D player who can't shoot or defend.

Between this news (I really wanted to give BP a chance) and the Tom Moore tweet about Sixers not wanting to pick people up off the waiver wire...

I'm disappointed. Maybe this is an attempt at some continuity for the sake of establishing a culture? But at what cost?

Despite the discrepancy in draft position and pedigree, yes. I would have to think Hollis has more value because he can at least bring one thing to the table (above average three point shooting).

Hadn't seen that, I don't follow twitter. But that is disappointing. Kind of dumb in my opinion too. We should be looking at whatever it takes to upgrade the guard situation, as long as we aren't leveraging.

We're going to keep Hollis and pass on Goodwin. Bryan will likely regret this.

we really are in big trouble.
from ownership to front office to coaching . its bad bad bad
any team who start the season with Nik and Hollis should be relegated from the league.
this is not a process anymore , this is a sham .

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
