Schedule loss. There have been plenty of those so far this year. Need to hammer this Bulls team when Embiid is back on Tues.

All in all getting the split on the back to back was good.

Joel should be back for the next one and i hope he send Drummond to hell, like always

Yeah didn't expect to win this one. It was great to see KJ in there for a few minutes. Batum playing was nice too. Can't wait for the big fella to come back. I've seen all I need to see of this squad without him. We'd be lucky to be a .500 ball club without him and that's only because Nurse is a good coach.

Unsurprising the guard who can generate offense in the half court (DeRozan) prevailed in this one.

What bothers me is, we're accepting b2b losses as scheduled losses, against sub .500 teams now. Compared to us, Celtics are winning their b2b's, even without Tatum, Porzingis or whoever is slightly injured.

Shows that Maxey can struggle vs actual shot blocking. Especially without the big fella to draw attention. The team didn't shoot well, so makes driving harder.

But Miami with Bam and tonight with Drummond was an issue for the team, nevermind Maxey. If he had his shot going, could be better. Yet, this team needs a 3rd option even with Joel certainly without him. Still he will continue to grow from these.

We aren't the celtics. They are probably the best team in the league with very few flaws.

Our team has obvious flaws and while Morey takes pics with tobi and bobi. Other east teams are making moves to improve.

To be fair, we did get better after the Harden trade. Addition by subtraction. Morey's just waiting on the right time to cash in his assets. Right now, the market appears to be slim. Don't be shocked if he doesn't make a major move before the deadline. I think his big move will be during the offseason.

Exactly. You would think that we would have learned from the Simmons situation how Morey conducts his business, that he will make a deal on his terms and timetable, and still everyone wants immediate results. The regular season is irrelevant, just a prelude to the games that really matter, and my guess is that Morey has targets in mind and trades that might not happen until right up to the deadline, if at all. I'd be fine waiting until the summer rather than making a reckless trade just to do something.

Yeah, we can't get all jealous and mad after a loss to the Bulls on the same day that the Knicks moved on OG Anunoby. It's easy to do though...Like "damn, WTF, why can't we just pull something off?" It just doesn't work that way. I spent the back end of the Iverson era in constant anger because Billy King sat on his ass and did nothing. When he did do something it was for the corpse of Chris Webber or a meaningless singing like Kevin Ollie, or Lee Nailon. It infuriated me beyond belief. Fast forward a few years later and we sign Elton Brand to a massive deal. What happens? He's injured for the duration of his time here. After that, we traded for Andrew Bynum who never played a single minute for us. Making these moves doesn't always work out and they can sink a franchise. Some of you must not remember that...OR...You became fans of this team after Ben Simmons was drafted. They (trades/signings) need to be carefully calculated and well thought out. It's a gamble. Need to trust Daryl Morey on this.

Right now we're sitting with more wing depth than we've had since this era started. Embiid is just hurt right now and it's a struggle without him. Making a panic trade for Zach LaVine will sink this franchise faster than the USS Indianapolis. This season was supposed to be all about evaluating, internal growth, and seeing what exactly we have as a team, who stays and who goes. With a healthy Embiid we're a fifty-win team no matter what NBA players you put around him. The idea is to try and get another talented player to combine with him and Maxey. You can't put a bum like Zach LaVine on this team and expect anything different from what he's done in Chicago which is absolutely nothing. The big move will come and it may not happen until the offseason. Morey just pulled us out of a potential rebuild by trading Harden and recouping draft picks along with a young asset in KJ Martin. We don't need to go diving back into Hell just because New York traded for OG Anunoby.

I do (FWIW) expect a smaller deal made by or towards the deadline. It'll happen, it just wont be a deal that changes the landscape of our lives. Think smaller, but helpful...Delon Wright, maybe Malcolm Brodgan if JRoy approves it. Truth be told, it's probably a player we haven't even thought of, similar to Jalen McDaniels from last season.

But if he doesn't, you can be sure that he'll at least decline politely.
