Sign Danny and Council to the remaining roster spots and then sign a project big from Gleague to a two way contract.

I believe that adding a big who can start should be the priority. Melton and Batum are both returning soon, while Roco is expected to return at some point. When you map out our depth chart, we're okay from positions 1 to 4 from now until the playoffs, but the starting center or backup center position is questionable.

One possible big is Tony Bradley. 20TRB%. 14-10-1.8bpg per 36. Plus player on both ends.

Here's a list of current free agents. Not sure how accurate considering it's missing Thad Young and Danilo Gallinari:

I'd try to see what JaMycal Green is doing before wasting time with Thad Young. He can no longer make a shot, unless it's offensive rebound layup.

No space for Danny Green now. Hield and Melton need those minutes.
I would use both of those spots on bigs. They need that more than needing Council for the playoffs.

If they can't get 2 of Danilo Gallinari, JaMycal Green, Nerlens Noel and/or Robin Lopez by March 1, then I would sign Council to a Hinkie Special

Signing a center makes sense if the team wants to be in the top 4 for the playoffs but will make absolutely no difference come playoff time if Embiid can't go. If you can sign a big without cutting a decent rotation player I guess it doesn't hurt. But getting Lowry to back up Maxey is by far more important.

Being clear. I like Council and Smith and hope they hang on to both, but neither need to be signed for the playoffs. Sign two players that can keep you out of the play-in game and help in the playoffs. Then when March 1 passes, cut KJ Martin and sign Ricky Council to a Hinkie Special.

We already have Lowry, and still have 2 open spots on the roster. At least one should be filled by a big. They'll probably leave the last spot open.

I’d prefer to have another big just to give Nurse another rotation option for the non-Embiid minutes. I don’t want to get stuck in a place where Reed is too small & we’re stuck playing Bamba because he’s the only option.

I hear you. If there is no commitment beyond this year I guess it doesn’t hurt

Guys, is Robin Lopez washed, because he would seem to be a pretty viable option as a backup 5? He's won a title and has played a ton of big games.

People say he's washed and his stats suggest that he's bathed.

Sixers should take a chance on NBL player Keanu Pinder. This season is over, so nothing to lose and time to find some cheap bench players for next year. He's improved a lot in the last couple of years, and could probably pick him up on a non-guaranteed muti-year contract.

The bucks definitely traded him at least in part to get Doc to stop playing him

Could we sign council and give this guy his two way spot? I would love To look at a guy like this, can’t see us doing it now tho

I doubt he would come over for a two-way contract. He's playing in the NBL at the moment, his team is in second spot, so will be playing in the playoffs through March. He would likely have an NBA out clause for a full contract, not a two-way. Probably need to give him a minimum contract on the roster for this year, with a non-guaranteed for next year.
