I'm not, if one is to analyze how we went from having amazing assets from late-Hinkie era to how we ended up, do you think the main mistakes were from late-2020?

If you've been here long enough, you know that I hated Hinkie and everyone in between. That doesn't excuse Morey for his horrendous 4 years. HORRENDOUS! You're trying to give him credit for Kelly Oubre. I rest my case.

You hate everyone, that's the issue here and why you are not capable of rational analysis.

This team has been capped out in terms of salary and situation, FA don't want to come here for the most part, many picks squandered, one has to rely on small fixes and bandaids in these cases, that's why I advocated to trade Embiid, I foresaw this situation and preferred a less painful rebuild. We messed up, it's ok to admit it, the process failed not because of Hinkie but because of what we did in 2017-2020 mainly, the issue I see is we keep acting like we have a path to a championship that involves keeping our main core.

I have a right to hate all these fools after the constant mismanagement over the years. I'm very rational, by the way.

I think the best path going forward would be to trade Embiid and keep Maxey. I believe with Maxey you have a solid and young player, he allows to sell hope to the fans, he can be an exciting player that fans enjoy, while he is a nice tank commander and we can collect nice picks, maxing him will be ok because the next 3-4 years will be about building for the future. Embiid on the other hand is just one of the best Regular Season players in NBA history, it's just not possible to tank with him on your team.

If Harris has an injury it is better for everybody that he doesnt play, because he is playing a terrible basketball.

The Sixers are just not good without Embiid this season. They will squeak out some wins here and there, but they seem destined for the play-in if he does come back.

Embiid truly is the system. This team goes from below average to elite with Embiid.

Embiid is obviously a HUGE part of what is missing, but there is also something to learn from this season. Roc, Batum and even Morris all highlighted what the Sixers need, which is to bulk up the front court with height, defense and shooting from said tall rebounders and defenders. Morris moved, as he should have been, and Batum and Roco showed what that archetype could do, but inevitably broke down at this age and stage of their careers.

We will make a run more worthy of this year's earlier success if Embiid can return at 90% ish, but this summer the task is to keep Hield, maybe Melton and re-sign a few vets at the minimum to go with athletic assets with size and talent via the draft and trade route so that the front court is not completely lacking the moment Embiid sits down and to build for either the later career Embiid era or the post-Embiid era in a couple of years. The front court has never recovered from building it with undersized shooters with minimal athleticism since the days of the Simmons as PG years.

The vets we got from the Clippers showed in streaks and flashes what we need, bow we need that in a much younger and long term viable model of the same archetypes.

Problem is that this system breaks down in Playoffs because Joel Embiid is a Regular Season player who is average at best in Playoffs. So I don't know what we are doing with this team if Embiid is the system, this can't possibly end well...

The talent drain on this team has just been too massive over the past 5 or so years. We lose Jimmy Butler for essentially nothing. Ben Simmons fully crumbles into a scrub. Somehow we salvage it & get Harden. We lose Harden for a handful of role players & some draft capital.

Joel being out for a month or two just puts a spotlight on the organizational decay that has been happening for a long time. We’re lucky to have Maxey or else this would all be unimaginably bleak.

No wonder why we are much worse than last year considering

You should totally follow another team on another forum if you feel this way.

Don't forget Fultz. We could have had Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, Frank Ntilikina or Johnathan Isaac
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

Bring on the draft

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

I believe we should use these games against the top teams to develop our non-Embiid minutes. In each game, we encounter various challenges, whether it's facing better talent, dealing with bigger opponents, handling hot hands, or overcoming shooting slumps. We need to adapt our game plan accordingly, making adjustments based on the circumstances. It's crucial to approach these games with a balance between winning and development.

However, after the Celtics game and once Embiid returns in April, our focus should shift more towards ensuring victories against weaker teams to avoid the play-in tournament.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
