Even if the pick has no value, it will be fun to do a lottery night for old time's sake, even if there chances are nil at winning it, and if nothing else, having a young player on the roster not named Maxey who fans can be excited about is something to cling to going forward.

They said the 2009 draft was weak (Steph Curry). Now they saying this draft is weak.

I don't follow the draft so I have no clue. Maybe every player in the lottery will be Steph Curry. Don't know. But executives around the league demonstrated at the deadline that they don't value picks in this year's draft. That's what matters for us.

Yep the 76ers can't beat the Celtics in the 1st round. How about the 76ers become the 7th seed and meet the Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals instead? Eventually something positive has to happen to this franchise this season.
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Sounds crazy, but from 2014 - 2017 I was happier as a Sixer fan. Would get beers with my one friend every draft lottery even and it became tradition. Once the expectations became high, everything is disappointment.

I wouldn’t mind playing Boston in a best of 5 if Joel was actually healthy enough to perform at the level we saw a couple of months ago. (Seems like decades now.) Maxey and wily vets and something out of our wings. Though that concussion taking away a couple of easy wins just to get there is kind of disheartening at the moment.

During those times, I enjoyed watching us play as the underdog, having to outwork or outsmart our more talented opponents. And whenever we beat them, my favorite pastime was lurking in their gamethreads, feeling a sense of satisfaction, a schadenfreude, as I read about their frustration and the calls to dismantle their team because they lost to a seemingly inferior one.

But look at where we are now. We're discussing the shortcomings of our own team, while fans of the Grizzlies are likely experiencing their own schadenfreude moment.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
