Maybe the coach has not been the issue and our core sucks?

Atleast Doc’s offense is simple to run and he plays to player’s strengths. Nurse on the other hand just keep running this offense he used to run with the Raps and have Kelly Oubre play Siakam’s role. But we’re not generating any mismatch unlike with how he run it with Siakam.

this roster is not good enough to do anything. Its going to rely on a dude who has been out half the season and thus will be out of shape and still probably hurt...to do everything against playoff intensified teams...that are better than us.

like what do you expect the outcome to be?

say he had a setback and Maxey has concussion like symptoms and tank it up.

Not really short-handed - just missing one player.

Without Embiid this roster is a dumpster fire.

Does anyone really think Embiid is coming back this year? I'd be stunned.

Haven’t watched much Sixers lately but wtf has happened to Tobias?

Not the greatest fit & his contract is ? but he’s always been a solid pro

Tonight didn’t look like he wanted to be there

Knicks too damn physical for Assassin. Bright side is we’re one game closer to being rid of this albatross.

Nothing particularly wrong. This is just normal Tobias. He does this **** routinely.

Brunson is tasked with defending Lowry, who often remains idle in the corner instead of actively engaging Brunson or setting screens for our teammates to exploit Brunson's defense.

Additionally, Tobi's performance resembled that of someone who seemed spiritually absent, displaying a tardiness in his reactions. His early corner 3-point attempts were off-target. When his shooting isn't on point, we should encourage him to attack Brunson or exploit mismatches elsewhere, particularly in the post, instead of persisting with ineffective outside shooting. Defensively, his decision-making was questionable, often making poor gambles or lagging in defensive rotations. Moreover, his ball-handling skills faltered when he attempted to drive against defenders.

Regarding Hield, it seems we're utilizing him in roles that don't suit his strengths. He excels at setting screens, popping out for shots, playing off the ball, and attempting numerous 3-pointers, which would be more effective if our offense capitalized on attacking the opposing team's weak links on defense.

We need to actively seek out mismatches more frequently then Oubre should drive, Tobi should post up, and Maxey should isolate on these mismatch situations. Then when the defense collapses, we can then find Hield for high-percentage 3-pointers or our big men for high-percentage shots in the paint. That is how you max out the talent of these guys.

At this point, it may be necessary to discuss whether the team has lost faith in Nurse's coaching. Persisting with ineffective strategies like the weave action that leads to settling for shots against strong defenders late in the shot clock which don’t allow players to “artificially make them look good” by these mismatches and open shots, and rather expose them for being mid players.

Ultimately, in a player-driven league, it's challenging for a coach to continue implementing a system that doesn't facilitate player success.

True that Lowry compromises the offense. He should not be starting. Put Hield in there and live with the results.

Oubre keeps playing out of his mind, one of the best minimum contracts in NBA history for sure.

We just don't have any consistency with lineups and it's been that way since the Embiid injury. You can't have all these in and out lineups and expect any kind of consistency. What happened with Ricky Council? Bamba starting, Hield went from starter to the bench, Jeff Dowtin out of nowhere is getting minutes. This is process level bad play right now. I don't think we make it out of the play-in and that's ok with me. Season needs to be over at this point. Get a good draft pick, retool this roster and come back strong with Embiid next October.
