We’re definitely going to overpay Oubre, aren’t we?

Nurse clearly has his favorites.

Buddy should have got pulled the minute he started to try to drive two times in a row.

And Bamba still plays too many minutes. Batum was amazing today, no reason to not try a small lineup

Incredible how much more fun it is to watch this team when Tobias is out.

Solid win. Weird how many teams are missing multiple players routinely.

Hoping these last two games allows Nurse to have the stones to bring Tobias off the bench and limit his minutes.

Love seeing Maxey's growth. This guy's getting Dame and Steph like coverages. He made Oubre's life so easy with the space he created with these gimmick defenses to take it out of his hands.

I know that Batum is a tremendous decision maker, but I think Nurse should consider even with Tobias back from his much needed rest putting Oubre in that position at the free throw line to be Maxey's outlet. I would even prefer Lowry to Batum. Batum is not aggressive from that position and the floor is so open an aggressive slasher like Kelly could really benefit... He benefited tonight anyways from the one on one open paint opportunities... I just think it could be even easier to the point that they may have to adjust their coverage for Maxey.

But Maxey adding this mid-range game IMO makes him truly one of the elite guards in the NBA. He's so damn good and even underrated.

Would love to see Buddy figure things out

Buddy Hield will eat with Embiid. I just hope we get to see that at some point

Tobias should (and will) come off the bench. Think it's for the best and he can have more impact against lesser players too.

Why not? The guy is a FA in a couple of months. Not that he will start rioting or so during the summer because he won't be here anymore. What can he do?

Nurse has the balls, that I'm sure.

The KJ at center minutes were even worse than the Bamba minutes.

I fear that when we do the autopsy of this season, the most obvious culprit was Daryl’s failure to secure a solid back-up for the perpetually fragile Embiid.

A solid backup center doesn't exist when you expect them to also be an effective starter for more than half the season. Otherwise, Paul Reed is a solid backup.

Fully depends on if they're staying over the cap to be able to give him the full MLE. Which is what I think he's going to get somewhere.

It would only be an overpay if we give him a max contract, but otherwise it would be a worthy and good contract, he is 28 y.o, we have peak Oubre right now and he will be good for at least 3 years or so. He is better than Harris has ever been, he is easily worth 25M per year if we are very conservative.

Oubre is a Top 40 player in this league, 29 teams would offer him more than that.

I'll give him the 2024 equivalent of peak JR Smith contract because that's who he is. He's not much more.
