Game 3: Sixers (0-2) vs. Knicks (2-0) | Thu Apr 25 7:30 PM (EST) TV: NBCSNP, TNT

Post#1 » by GoSixersBro » Tue Apr 23, 2024 8:37 pm

Got another day of rest tomorrow, but my game threads had some luck last Playoffs so figure I'd stir up the juju.

We open up as 4.5 point favorites at home. Personally my panic meter was worse up 3-2 versus Boston last year than it is right now. The Knicks deserve respect, but they are certainly beatable even with a 2-0 lead. Praying Joel and Maxey continue to lead, but for the life of us can Oubre, Harris or Hield throw in a big game just once?

Also what's going on with his eye? Any doctors in the house?

As a Raptors fan I am cheering for the 76ers. It is tough to win in the playoffs though when they are paying Harris 40M this season when he is best suited as a scorer off the bench playing against 2nd units. If they can replace him with Siakam and improve the bench they could finally go on a run next season. It will be tough to win 4 out of the next 5.

It feels like we're all awaiting Embiid's impending doom during this series where he's out for the rest of playoffs. Especially after his "we're the better team" comments.

His comments actually got me back up a little. Of course, he's gotta back it up. But my God have I felt dejected all day. The L2M has more skewing more towards being pissed at the refs than the team as well.

I feel like simultaneously taking the Sixers win by more than the spread (all the points when not needed) and New York wins outright (more bad news).
Don't hate me, I watched the last game and feel like I might rebound from it as well as a second half Embiid. =(

We either win or it's ovah. What you don't want is another heartbreak loss. We need to take care of business. No excuses.

You say this every game and it hasn't happened. Maybe he's changed and maybe you could just not always assume the worst with him. Put that **** in the universe is just bad energy man...

They need to come out and punch the Knicks in the mouth.

However, that is not the personality of this team.

How is Jo gonna survive these playoffs and then the Olympics after is what I keep asking myself.

Just stick it to the refs and win outright - the suits upstairs have already made their bed at MSG, we just gotta run them outta town....

Could it be that he's experiencing pain, which is why his face is twitching, while he's being given some pain medication so he can continue playing?

If the refs are going to show home cooking towards the more talented team, it will be difficult for the opposing team to defeat them.

We just need to take each game day by day. Pressure creates diamonds; let's view these challenges as opportunities to become a better team.

If we ever make it to the Eastern Conference Finals and have to face the Celtics, we will look back at this series and remind ourselves how working hard and being physical can mitigate talent disparity. We can use this Knicks blueprint to defeat the Celtics.

Well, they better win if they dont its over. I mean they should have won every game considering OG has done nothing. We lost to Josh Hart, Brunson, Divencenzo, Hartenstein and Robinson. Good NBA players but not exactly the 86 Celtics.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
