That is actually the best thing about the arrival of our new players, including Balotelli ... It would give Rodgers the option of using different game plans depending on the opposition ... Every game plan will have it's preferred starters, but there probably won't be a fixed starting XI ...

You think balo plays against man city?

Depends if the formalities are completed by noon tomorrow ... That is the deadline for the player to be registered with the Premier League for the coming weekend games ...

It has already been confirmed by reliable sources close to the club that LFC have absolutely no interest in Balotelli ... Personally, I agree 100% with that decision ...

What changed your mind over the last month ? Dr.Steve Peters ?

The initial report was that AC Milan are looking for £24 million for him, and that his wage demands are over £150,000 per week ... Under those conditions, he would have represented too much of a risk, and in case he fails at LFC, he would have been too difficult to move ... The actual deal that is taking place is for a transfer fee of £16 million, and the reported wages are at £90,000 per week ... Under those conditions, he is a risk worth taking ...

Rumors out that Liverpool will try to sign eto'o after balotelli. Liverpool really wants depth apparently. Also still linked to several young guys (Patrick Roberts and others) to be acquired and loaned out.

I wonder what formation Rodgers wants to run.

No it was just a back up plan if balotelli deal flopped

I'm predicting Balotelli will only be at Anfield for a season and then bounce to Spain/Italy. He's the new Ibra now that the Swede has settled in Paris.

More likely for 2 or 3 seasons. And then sold to Real Madrid for £100 million.

Both situations could see him out the door. It's Balotelli after all. He's always going to be a short term project for any club no matter how he performs simply because of his unprofessional behavior.

Great game. Liverpool looks really fast. Sakho gave away a few balls and Tot almost made them pay but overall that was a pretty sound win. Starting Sturridge, Sterling and Balotelli put a huge amount of pressure on Spurs. Balo could have had a hat trick in the first if he had finished his good opportunities.

Lots of new faces on Liverpool. They still need time to get together but they are going to be tough when they do.

First time that back four played well together and we kept a clean sheet. Easily our most talented backline. Lovren and Sakho are shaky though.

Best FB's in yonks tho.

Great game! I've mostly been a casual fan of the EPL the last few years, but have really taken a liking to Liverpool.

Balotelli shows up once every month for a good game and then he's never found again. Liverpool will have huge problems scoring till the next international break.
