Evans returning is not going to solve the back issue. Carrick's return will not solve the middle issue. Putting in nani and fellaini is not going to get us anywhere. LVG will need 2-3 marquee signings to make a play for a title cuz this isn't enough.

Louis van Gaal lost all his first 3 bundesliga matches with Bayern Munich but crowned as champions in 2009 #MUFC

I don't want to see 2 reserve players in the starting lineup next week, period. Especially at CB.

Yeah this squad simply is not good enough to compete for let's say top 3-4.

For a long time I thought that vGaal is the ideal candidate to coach United. The club did clearly need a restructing and vGaal is know for that.

But than the test games started and everyone was going crazy about that average squad (compared to their standards). Additionally, they only bought Herrera and Shaw, which are not changing the team.

And now I read yesterday an interview from van Gaal, where he said that the players should not only run run run, but has to think and play intelligent. But actually english football is exactly the opposite and all about running and not so much about playing smart. He has to adapt his style but is not really know to be an adaptive person. This might be a disaster waiting to happen.

We are now being linked with Mexes. Woodward is a joke. Glazers are a joke.

Well if we don't sign a CB we are forced to play Blackett but I agree and he should be the only exception.

Well, you have wasted most of the summer chasing unrealistic targets ... I still don't understand why you didn't go for Stefan de Vrij, who was great under LVG on the Dutch national team, and has just moved to Lazio for €8.5 million ...

Ya, We should have went for Dutch players from the world cup because I really do not see why any player would want to come to United other than a Dutch player that is already familiar with Van Gaal. Again this is another reason why Woodward is an absolute joke

That United starting XI yesterday was piss poor. Wow.

A few points I would like to bring up:

1. LVG 3-5-2 I do not feel confident in. Especially considering that most of the midfielders Man U have are not defensively minded. A clear example is Mata and how he forgets to track his man.

2. Man U is very weak in defense and midfield. Signing Rojo makes no sense to me as he isn't a strong defender to fit into the 3-5-2.

3. LVG I feel will be fired early next season once his poor showing continues.

4. The Epl is a league that is very key on strength and power. Not one player is known for power on the current Man U roster. They need to get rid of Fellaini and sign a powerful DM (ie. Yaya or Matic)

I dont understand the Rojo signing. He is good but I think 1st the price is expensive and 2nd they just signed Luke Shaw who plays in very similar position... too similar to make that extra expenditure.

LVG plays a system where both Rojo and Shaw can start ... Even though he has been used as a left fullback by the Argentinian national team, Rojo is predominantly a left footed central defender, and as such, he would fit nicely on the left side of LVG's 3-men defence ... On the other hand, Shaw is more of an attacking left fullback, and as such, he would fit nicely as the left wing back in LVG's system ...
