Why do they call it a "Super Cup" if there's only 1 game?

Seems like kind of a misnomer.

Lol, it seemed like both teams were barely even trying. And they still had a trophy presentation where Real raised the cup into the air like they won something of importance.

The whole match seemed like a preseason game

Yeah, it really is kind of ridiculous. The Community Shield is pretty pointless as well.

Asensio is on the cusp of becoming a star.

This lad really looks something special.

His buyout is only like 40m too. Crazy. Liverpool need to pay that!

That's cheap according to current prices.

Asensio's buyout is 80M € (72M£), not 40M. He is the next big star of Spain NT.
He is probably the reason because RM didn't buy Mbappè this summer, they want him to play more than last season.

BTW his left foot is a shotgut

Congrats to Ronaldo on winning his 5th Ballon d'Or and tying Messi for most ever.

Enjoying the salt on twitter right now.

It's a farce in the long run, everyone and their mother knows Messi is better, Ronaldo has been awful for far more many months this calendar year than good. It's not even just about salt, I can't think of a player in crappier league form winning the award than Ronaldo right now.

He's not even top 10 right now, but to his credit he played well in the later stages of CL. I think this is the last individual award he wins for a while.

Still cant believe it even though I completely understand if those are the real reasons he did. This is gonna make a World Cup summer so much worse haha but, can’t do anything but appreciate an all time great on the pitch and in the dugout #GraciasZizou

I don't see why Poch would even want that job and all that goes with it in the first place and second, why would have signed a new huge deal with Spurs if he wanted the RM job. He could have waited a week and seen how it played out after the CL Final, where Zidane likely would have been fired had he lost.

Just easy journo rumors.

:noway:

He would be interested in RM because then he could win some silverware.

Perhaps he'll take the cream of Spurs with him.

He's staying.

And I agree with BUCKnation, it's a poisoned chalice. It doesn't matter how many trophies you win at Real, you won't get any respect for it as a manager. I know it's fun to banter Spurs for not winning anything, but people need to come back to reality.

If Poch did leave I'd wish him all the best, but I really don't think he is, especially with his latest quotes.
