Oh, and a German C XI is leading vs a Danish B XI 2:1 with 15 mins to go. Gomez, Helmes and Rommedahl scored.

Relatively enjoyable game. That 60 meter pass from Kroos to Helmes at the end of the game was sick. If only Helmes would've scored on that one. :-?

And U21 :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

Leverkusen looks really good on paper. They could give Bayern Munich a hard run for the championship.

smh, what use do they have for him? Their midfields are already stacked with top talent. Hope he stick around in the Liga.

Yeah. They really have no use for him.

Looks like Diego will definitely return to the Bundesliga from Juventus. Reports here in Germany are that Juve has accepted a 16 mil € offer from Wolfsburg but Schalke 04 is still in the run for him, though.
It would be cool to see him back in the Bundesliga.

btw which players do you look forward watching to the most? I think Toni Kroos will be a real stud for Bayern Munich. He has all the tools to make it in Munich and now that Arjen Robben is injuried he'll get the opportunity to make it there.

Bayern's got so many great young players, you really can't choose, plus Ribery Robben Shwini and Lahm. I can tell you I'm not looking forward to watching Demichels thats for sure. Do you thinnk Van Gal would replace him with Badstuber? he started at left back in the CL finals, is he good enough to play CB?

Good to hear Diego is coming back to the Liga, the more stars the better, and he was his best in Bremen.

Seriously, that squad looks so strong on paper it's almost ridiculous and they effing loose 4:1 against Iceland and draw twice against Northern Ireland and Iceland again. Raymond Domenech couldn't have effed up this one better...

 losing 1:4 to the well known Football powerhouse Iceland? how could one put that into words?!

I think Badstuber's future is inside, he's just to slow to get up the wing and still be able to get back on D. He's got skills with the ball, he just can't use them much otherwise he'll leave himself exposed which is why I think putting him inside where he can help Schweini launch the attack instead of getting forward to be part of the attack would be the best use of his talents. He may be a little too inexperienced right now to rely on massively inside, but that's where I see him playing most of his football.

Any way my favorite Bayern youngster has to be Thomas Mueller, the progress he has made has been phenominal and he's a very smart and hard working player on top of his talent.

tl;dr:
Two bad Bundesliga teams (Pauli and Hannover) fail big time, several others (Schalke, Wolfsburg, Mainz, Freiburg, Köln) didn't look too impressive either. Leverkusen slaughters Pirmasens 11:1, but that's about it.
Plenty casulties in the Second Division vs lower league teams, too.

I bet he'll come back to Bundesliga in 2 or 3 years after his value has dropped tremendously.

I disagree. He won't make it in Madrid but he'll then go to another Primera Division or PL team.

While he's stagnating in Madrid Toni Kroos will overtake him as the best German central midfielder. I've no doubt about that. Kroos will get plenty of game time for Munich this season. Especially now that Arjen Robben is out.

my reason being is that his value rose tremendously during WC not really because of his last season at Bremen. if or sadly when he'll get stuck behind Kaka and/or Ronaldo he'll get limited exposure which in turn should his value down. of course if he goes from Real to Barca or a big EPL club his buying price will roughly stay the same but it's rather because such teams generally pay a lot more than what Bundesliga teams get.

I have mixed feelings about Özil. He is hugely talented, but mentally a bit fragile. Unlike Khedira, who plays and talks tough, he is an introvert. But I hope he succeeds, I like Özil's game. He cannot score, but he is so quick and intelligent on and off the ball.

Bremen: Özil out, Diego in? Schaaf has a knack for replacing his stars the cheap and efficient way. Look at the SICK accuracy of the guys he flipped:

Reck > Rost > Reinke > Wiese
Verlaat > Ismael > Mertesacker
Herzog > Micoud > Diego > Özil
Bogdanovic > Ailton > Klasnic > Marin

OK, there was also Carlos "Super Scrub" Alberto, but still...

Ailton, Micoud and Klose/Klasnic were absolutely beasts at that time. If only they had a reliable defense at that time they could've made it far in the Champions League. Instead they got f***ed by Olympique Lyon.

Hoffenheim is reportedly offering 6 mil. € for Rudy. Not sure why they want him that badly. He's going to be a solid player but 6 mil. seems off target. :D

Seems like Juve declined Wolfsburgs proposal of 14 mil € for Diego. They should just offer 18 mil. I want Diego back in the Bundesliga.
Instead of just offering more money for Diego Wolfsburg now offers 11 mil € for Ryan Babel. Don't know what to think about that. The few games I've seen from Babel he hasn't impressed me much because he doesn't come back to defense.

And Werder Bremen is going after Olympique Marseilles Hatem Ben-Arfa.
Ibrahim Affellay is linked to Schalke and Hamburg. Looks like the transfer market is heating up again shortly before the season starts.

That was an amazing goal. First half was kinda boring, but the second half was good. Butt with a terrible mistake, but great cross and then the finish by Shwini. Not liking Munich's jersey at all, way too much white in there, sleeves should be all red.
