Looks like he's headed to LA. All jokes aside, one of the best players of his generation and an all-time Liverpool and PL great.

Gerrard and Keane. Don't think they'll miss Donovan much with all that star power.

I don't think many people in L.A. will even remember who Donovan was with this new potential lineup.

I think Gerrard will absolutely kill it in MLS. Zardes should be the happiest man in L.A. He is going to score 25 goals with someone like Stevie pinging long balls into his path.

Interesting if Gerrard plays in the MLS and the Galaxy.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Think he'll be able to handle the travel?
It's honestly the biggest issue these guys coming over from Europe have. They can't handle those L.A. to Toronto/Boston/New York trips.
That and the turf in some cities. Henry avoided it like the plague.

I'd never thought about the difference in travel demands. Still, it seems like with no international duty and minimal cup obligations the MLS schedule is pretty forgiving.

I don't see Gerrard playing in turf much.

Especially somewhere like Vancouver. That turf is beyond terrible.

I'm obviously new to this MLS thing, so I don't know much about the talent required to win. Does Orlando city have a decent team by MLS standards?

They don't have a high level of talent overall, but they have some really good pieces in the rights spots.
Brek Shea will be great, has lots to prove, and lots of MLS experience.
Donovan Ricketts will control the back line well, and has plenty of experience. Could very well be the team's MVP by the end of the season.
Kaká will look so much better than the players around him talent wise, but it normally takes newcomers a few months to get used to the MLS style of play, and the travel demands.

They also signed Colombian Carlos Rivas. Don't know much about the guy, but apparently he's a speedy winger. Hope he makes us proud lol

Henry playing in the east was ok. He didn't have to pay on turf so much as someone on the west. Imagine Stevie G missing every cascadia match because off this.

I don't think they look that bad.
At least they will stand out. MLS like every other league has too many red and blue teams. I also find MLS doesn't have enough striped kits which are big overseas.

stripped kits are legit. Purple just doesn't do it for me. I wanted to buy one but could not see myself wearing it outside other than game day
