How would you guys line up for the Euros?

Neuer
? - Boateng - Hummels - Hector
Kroos - Gundogan
Müller - Özil - Reus
?

Honestly dont know who I would pick at RB and striker. Maybe Volland up front if he can continue his good run under Nagelsmann. Germany really dont produce any strikers these years. Can has played RB under Brendan Rodgers and did well in the beginning but was later exposed in many games.

This is only for the group stages btw. For the real tests in the KO stages I would play 4-6-0 and put Khedira in the middle, because a Kroos-Gundogan MF is too open against Spain/France/Belgium/Italy. Khedira did show against Bayern he is still an exceptional player.

Assuming Jogi's shape? Cause if I could pick the formation and the roster I'd adjust our formation to best take advantage of our opposition from match to match, with the default shape being something like:

------------- Reus/Kruse --- Muller ---------------
----------------------- Ozil ---------------------
--------------- Gundogan -- Dahoud --------------
---------------- Kroos/Weigl/Kimmich ------------
Hector/Schmelzer - Hummels - Boateng - Kimmich/Weiser
---------------------- Neuer ---------------------

For the bench I'd bring along:
Reus/Kruse
Draxler
Volland
Herrmann

Gotze
Can
Khedira/Kramer (whichever one isn't injured at the time)
Kroos/Weigl

Kimmich/Weiser
Hector/Schmelzer
Tah
Mustafi

ter Stegen
Leno

That could be the last time we saw Schweinsteiger in a Germany shirt. Who knows, maybe Löw would pick him in his Euro a quad because of his leadership.

But I think the guy is done. He has never been as overweight as he is now and the relationship with Ivanovic hasnt helped his career.

Der Klassiker tomorrow.

I still think Germany - England is bigger than Germany - Italy and Germany - Netherlands even though many Germans disagree. Argentina has also been a great rival for years(3 World Cup final match-ups) but it's too far and there's no history between the countries outside of football.

What makes England the biggest game ahead of Italy and Netherlands is also the fact that Germany fought 2 World Wars against them and the relationship between the countries was bad basically until Thatcher was done as PM. On the pitch: 1966 ghost goal, Gascoigne crying in 1990, 'it's coming home' in 1996, 1-5 in 2001, Lampard's ghost goal in 2010 and then the 1999 and 2012 CL finals if you include club football as well. Incredible history.

Of course there is history between Germany and Argentina. Not a good one, though. Thousands of Nazi criminals went to hide in Argentina after WWII.

The Dutch, Argies, and Italians are on a different level than the English for me. England's not really anymore of a "big match" for me than the games against France, Spain & Brazil.

Very happy for Gomez. Always liked him for some reason. Should've been his second goal too.

I'm convinced that Bela Rethy is in the top 5 of the worst things that have ever happened to German soccer.

These Spurs and Leicester boys are pretty good. :D

Let's see if we can do it at a tournament for once.

Good win for you guys. Pretty pathetic performance by Jogi's boys after that second goal, though.

Yeah, it's clear that Germany never really got out of first gear, I expected you guys to dictate the pace more. Tempo was low, atmosphere was a bit tepid, certainly hallmarks of a low stakes match. Happy with England's performance, especially the Spurs lads.

Atmosphere is never good at German NT games. Too many families and women there.

England fans were great today. Most of them are UKIP voters.
