They'll get a couple players(Massimo Bruno and that austrian kid they got from Rapid Vienna) they bought and promptly loaned out to Salzburg next season and will be more seasoned.

Also, I think their style of play's going to hunt them, given that they're pressing like crazy and give up too much space defensively.

BTW: Nice win for us at Hannover.
Didn't have to do too much and still won 3-0.
Also, Alvaro Dominguez is turning into a pretty good LB, being great in the air and still fast/agile enough to cover wingers.

The "top game" next week will be on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. CET, when Bayern comes to visit Borussia Park.

Let me fold this league out of calender.

There will be 15 pts difference when first half of the season ends.

LOL @ Leverkusen. Didn't watch the game, but not winning a game you lead 3-0 at the half is such a Leverkusen move

A problem Salzburg have and always had is/was that very good players just don't go to the Austrian league. I don't see that problem for Leipzig in the future.

What do you think the DFB can do making the league more fun like it was the last decade when Bremen, Wolfsburg Stuttgart and almost Schalke won championships?

The level in the league was a lot worse in those years.

Sent from my GT-I9001 using RealGM Forums mobile app

Yes, Bayern and BvB were worse, but HSV, Schalke, Bremen and Stuttgart were much better then. You forget how great team Bremen had that time(Klasnic-Klose duo with Micoud behind), HSV with Van Der Vaart, Kompany, De Jong, Barbarez etc.

HSV, Stuttgart & Bremen all have massively declined, yes. Stuttgart & Bremen thought they could coast through their stadium renovations with less money on the transfer market and paid the price. Hamburg has done an absolutely terrible job.

Others have emerged, though. Gladbach for example. If you look at how good they handle the ball. That's something unheard of from a EL caliber team a couple years ago.

Mainz, Frankfurt, Hoffenheim, Augsburg...all better than what used to be in the league a couple years ago.

Ask Dortmund. They can't even do it on a sunny day in Cologne these days. :rofl2:

Did you notice that Xabi hits it low on the guy that jumped on the first fake shot, assuming he will do the same again. Also Müller's run. Looked totally awkward, but he would be alone just in front of the keeper, in case he reaches the ball

As everyone seems to be posting Alonso's free kick, I'll just put up Xhaka's free kick goal against Hannover.

Zieler is such an overrated keeper. No idea how he secured that 3rd GK spot in the NT.

If Gala don't manage to beat Dortmund in the next 2 games they'll probably never beat them.

We won against Dortmund, Cologne won, Schalke won, even Hamburg collected 3 points at Signal Iduna Park.

The **** ? The BuLi is the strongest and most interesting it's been this century. Even small teams play attractive football, and complacent formerly big teams are suffering for their arrogance (HSV , Stuttgart and werder). There's two teams who can go deep in the CL and another 4-5 who can end up in a CL and get to the knockouts next season. With your Freiburg's, augsburgs and mainzes being stronger than every in that midtable tier there's far more quality football to watch coming out of Germany than there used to be.

Anyway , good game for Gladbach, still would prefer to see them playing Johnson on the left, Dominguez inside and Jantschke on the right defensively. But that front 6 is what I like to see and did their jobs very well.

And lolverkusen. Screwing up after leading 3-0 is something they'd do , especially with the way this new coach has them playing this season. Hopefully Brandt and Leno don't decide to carry them into the CL in the second half of the season again.
