Best world cup ever?
I know, I know, a little premature. But it's been raining goals ever since the tournament started and I know out of all the world cups I've watched (02,06,10) this has been by far the most exciting one and its only been 4 days
No ties in 11 games so far, unbelievable!

Way, way too early to say, but an entertaining cup so far! It's very hard to gauge just how objectively 'good' a tournament is because there's been so many across different eras of football. My subjective favourite was probably France '98 as it was the first one I really got invested in, because I was probably too young prior to that. It remains to be seen if I'll end up enjoying this one more as a whole, but it's been great thus far.

I hope it doesn't disappoint later on after a really good start like the nba playoffs did this year. But man it's been fun so far

It's been great so far, only matches I thought got a little boring were the ones today but even they had their brilliant moments- Swiss winner in the last minute, actual use of the goal-line technology on Benzema's second goal, and Messi finally waking up. Definitely looks like it's shaping up to be a lot more interesting than the last one.

The only games I've really enjoyed so far were England v. Italy and Spain v. Netherlands. The rest of the tournament has been pretty boring and sloppy.

The less exciting games until now were Brazil vs Croatia and France vs Honduras, and both combined for 7 goals, which tells you something about this WC.

Judge the World Cup on the Knock Out Stage. Those are the games that makes the World Cup, not Group Stage games.

It's been a good quality tournament so far, shame that there isn't really an African or Asian team that will really achieve anything (as is the norm) it was great fun 4 years ago rooting for Ghana.
Overall though I think we are fortunate that it seems a very open play Cup, the top teams are going for it, rather than playing negative football. It is also interesting to see Spain and England (my adopted home country) struggle the way they are and, as a Dutchman, there is of course the immense pleasure in seeing a Dutch team score 8 goals in two games. Makes a change from the 2012 Euros for sure! (we lost 1-0, 2-1, 2-1...)
I am REALLY hoping that the Netherlands and Germany will meet in the final, although Brazil would be nice as an opponent as well
